  1. Hey everyone , now that the Olympics are over just wanted to make an announcement that I'll be taking a break from posting on Totallympics for the most part, and watching sports. Mentally these games have broke me in so many ways, and I need time to reset. Not sure for how long, at least a week, but I'll be back for the Paralympics. I thought taking time to reflect over the past week and a half, it would make Grondin's silver feel better, it didn't at all. I still think about it all the time and it hurts. Just upset, frustrated, and disappointed that he was a photo finish away from gold... again, and I'd trade half of our medals for the colour to be changed. Not to mention Canada only won 21 medals, 5-7-9, which is our lowest total since Salt Lake City 2002 with less events, but whatever I got used to it half a week ago...
  2. No, not the same thing. What China did actually impacted their game against Germany, by kicking their stone "accidentally" they tapped their own stone into the rings, and Germany only ended up scoring 2 that end instead of 3. Then, the Chinese team kept denying it.
  3. Exactly, what he did might've been a rule infraction of sorts, but the rulebook wasn't clear for one, and it also didn't do anything to impact the game. China at Men's Worlds last year, on the other hand...
  4. Just muscle memory, he's been delivering stones like this for his entire career. He's even done it against teams ranked way below him, that he would beat regardless. IRRC Hasselborg has said that they don't agree with Edin that touching granite impacts the game at all (same with Lachat on Schwaller, and I'm sure there's a few others I'm missing), and them and Edin are not only good friends but represent Sweden together. Brushing the granite with your finger has no impact on the speed or direction of the stone, and even if it did Jacobs isn't the only one to do it and it happens more times than people realize... I wanted to respond to this, but I'd rather not talk about it again like I said
  5. stay safe man
  6. Sure thing Alpine Skiing (10) - Get rid of the team combined events, and change it to the individual combined events. Biathlon (11+1) - Agree with you on the single mixed relay. Bobsleigh (4) - No changes. Cross Country Skiing (12+1) - Either 30km mass start or 50km interval start instead, and maybe a 4x1.5km mixed team sprint. Curling (3) - No changes. Freestyle Skiing (15+1) - Add mixed team ski cross, seriously how do we have it in snowboard cross but not ski cross ? Mixed team aerials can go. Also a mixed team event in big air. Figure Skating (5) - No changes. Ice Hockey (2) - No changes to the programme, but I more than anything want it to be 5v5 OT instead of 3v3 (not the question, but it sucks) Luge (5) - No changes. Ski Mountaineering (3+2) - Remove individual sprints, keep the mixed team sprint. Add individual and vertical events for both genders. Speed Skating (14+2) - Team sprints added. Short Track Speed Skating (9) - No changes. Ski Jumping (6+1) - Men's super team replaced with men's team, women's team also added. Nordic Combined (3+1) - Two events for the women, and a mixed team relay with one per gender instead of men's team. Snowboarding (11+2-3) - Either parallel slalom events for both genders or a mixed team parallel giant slalom event, and a mixed team event in big air. Ice Cross (0+2) - One event per gender. Freeriding (0+4) - Snowboard and ski events in each gender Ice Climbing (0+4) - Lead and speed in each gender Telemark Skiing (0+2) - Men's and women's parallel sprint Cyclo-cross, depending on the day.
  7. Nothing, maybe with the exception of Tyler Tardi's Olympic videos on Instagram Terrible Olympics, I'm glad it's over
  8. 2014: Silver in women's, bronze in men's 2018: Gold in women's, silver in men's 2022: Gold in men's, bronze in women's, bronze in mixed doubles 2026: Gold in mixed doubles, gold in women's
  9. And it's all over, Hasselborg are Olympic gold medalists once again
  10. Patz draws to the button for two, and it's all tied up 3-3 and after 6
  11. 88.00 for Fraser, won't improve but about as good as you could've hoped from her. Just missing the grabs.
  12. Hasselborg starts off this gold medal game with a 2 2-0 over
  13. 90.50 for Atkin, that might be the Olympic gold for her!
  14. Yes, those two are a level above the rest. Could see one of them getting overtaken but not both
