  1. skiers have really been performing well lately, peaking right in time for the Olympics
  2. Bronze for Courtney Charlong in the 1000m at the Junior World Championships
  3. Wide on one of the turns but not bad Alexander
  4. Second time watching alpine skiing this season surprised with how little I’ve watched this season
  5. Lukáš Cingel replaces Beijing 2022 captain Marek Hrivík for who is out with injury
  6. Sorry that was wrong Scotties update Lawes demolished Einarson in the 1/2 game to make the final, still undefeated Sturmay beat Black in the 3/4 game to advance to the semifinals against Einarson, winner to the final. Stevens and Peterson also made the playoffs, now on my radar for teams to watch for in the upcoming seasons.
  7. Just looking at the scores from the second day of the Val Di Fassa ski cross WC, and Gavin Rowell finished dead last (and 38th the day before, Mahler had a 20th and a 27th which is mediocre but had 3 straight top 15 finishes before that) Surely Mahler would perform better at the Olympics?
  8. Parallel Giant Slalom WC Rogla Women Gold- Miki Tsubaki Silver- Ramona Hofmeister Bronze- Elisa Caffont Same podium as Bankso, different order. Men Gold- Sangho Lee Silver- Rolland Fischnaller Bronze- Fabian Obmann Full Results
  9. Ski Cross WC Val di Fassa Men Gold- Simone Deromedis Silver- Florian Wilmsmann Bronze- Reece Howden Wilmsmann 1-2 in the Val Di Fassa races, watch out. Women Gold- Daniela Maier Silver- Saskja Lack Bronze- Jole Galli 1-3 for Galli in the Val di Fassa races. Naeslund 4th! Good week for the German team. Full Results
  10. I'll try to have it up Monday night-early Tuesdsay morning, there's still a few sports (a few events in freestyle skiing, updated results for Alexander in alpine skiing, he's competing in the Crans Montana DH tomorrow, half of snowboarding, and speed skating) I need to finish up. It's taken me many, many hours (and the writing will take another few, mainly for freestyle skiing/snowboarding where I had the idiotic idea to take averages from various events, WC/WChs and X Games and see what scores it might take to podium) and I'm already starting to somewhat regret it, but I'm not one to give up, and if I've already done this much then what's the point?
  11. Is there anywhere you think Italy will win medals?
  12. It’ll most likely be Italy-GB, but the competition is so tight that most teams could final and it wouldn’t surprise me
  13. Bronze and 4th for Reece Howden and Kevin Drury at the Val Di Fassa WC! No women in the semifinals, our men’s team being better than our women’s team would be unbelievable a few years ago especially with the larger field but a lot injuries and disappointing seasons for them…

  15. I thought the same thing when I first saw it I guess that’s what happens when a smaller arena is built
  16. Simply put, yes. The five-set record for Sinner is definitely concerning, something mental that his coach needs to figure out, right now his best chance is getting it done in 3/4 and just sustaining his level. Only Alcaraz and Djokovic when he’s not playing at his best can challenge him, and will probably split each of the four slams with how even their head to head is. At the very least, he’ll win one. I don’t know how soon that’ll change, but he’s been on top for long enough that he’ll be of the heavy slam favourites into his 30s at the very least and that gives him 5-7 years. More than doable.
  17. You're not wrong, he wasn't at the high level he usually plays at, but... Based off the results of one slam you come to this conclusion?
  18. Ski Cross WC Val di Fassa Men Gold- Florian Wilmsmann Silver- Cornell Renn Bronze- Tim Hronek Podium sweep for Germany! Renn with his first career WC podium! Women Gold- Jole Galli Silver- Marielle Berger Sabbatel Bronze- Marielle Thompson Galli was always a threat to the Olympic podium, but I'd say with her performances in Italy she has a great chance at it. Redder with a joint career best WC finish in 5th! Full Results
  19. Bronze for Marielle Thompson at the Val di Fassa WC in ski cross! Otherwise a day to forget about
  20. No BF for Maier this time around
