  1. Biden is projected to win Alabama, Tennessee & Oklahoma. Sanders is projected to win Colorado.
  2. The question is whether mainstream allows the millenials to run mainstream out of business? US politics is old money, Ivy League and big ego. Rebels are destined to fail. The only way to blow this up if there's a third main party on the scene that will unsettle the 150+ years of GOP/Dems dominance. That's the radical change neccessary.
  3. I told you like 6 months ago all this Dems in-fighting is completely useless and only helps the sitting President. They should have had these 3-4 primaries last fall and now there should be an official nominee in heads-up poker versus Trump already. I wonder how many Dem voters will refuse to vote for Sanders over Trump like you will refuse to vote for Biden? (despite some polls showing beating Trump is more important than the candidate's views). The split within the party is another great boost for Trump yet I feel like it's underestimated in the big picture. He's upset the mainstream odds vs Hilary Clinton already and he might well do this again esp. if Biden voters won't vote for Sanders or vice versa.
  4. Yes, I was a little sarcastic there I told you before the only party primaries should be held in Texas, California, Florida and maybe Illinois. Who wins two out of three or 3/4 gets the official nomination. Everything else simply generates costs and hollow media attention (hell, media talk about politics all year anyway so they don't need all these primaries tbh). Everyone would get to vote in the only voting that matters in November.
  5. Biden is projected to win Virginia and North Carolina, Sanders is projected to win Vermont (duh!). Why I get a feeling this 'Super Tuesday' is only about Texas and California though?
  6. Yeah, Olympics are way too important so the other global championships would have to work around the postponement - the last Olympics which took place outside of the usual window was Sydney 2000 (September) and let's say athletics would probably move their WChamps to September next year and just make the Diamond League finish way earlier instead.
  7. Johanna Larsson (tennis) has retired at the age of 31. She fell out ouf WTA singles Top 200 but still had a chance to play the doubles at the Olympics.
  8. Americans think their democracy is the best in the world though?
  9. But we're talking about events? The FIM Qatar Grand Prix itself isn't cancelled or postponed!
  10. Yep, Moto2 & Moto3 teams are in Qatar already because their pre-season testing happened one week after MotoGP testing. Qatar GP will go ahead only without MotoGP.
  11. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lechia It's basically the same as some German clubs using the old Prussian name Borussia. We have clubs called Lechia in Poland instead
  12. How about starting a new party then? Political parties split and form a new body all the time in the world. Why can't USA do that?
  13. Well, Poland is still called Lechistan in some countries so let's don't get overexcited by the Holland/Netherlands deal
  14. Well, in wrestling you can distinguish two styles (but not for women) but yeah, if we go purist then different weight classes are different events. Finn replaced Firefly as the dinghy class in 1952 so Elvstrom had no choice like Ainslie.
  15. Ben Ainslie and Kaori Icho must be among the six Only Oerter, Lewis and Phelps did it in the same event. Elvstrom and Ainslie in two different sailing classes (but still the same sport) and Icho in two different weight classes. That is all. Question is whether a different weight class in a combat sport is a different event? Methinks not.
  16. Is Pays-Bas correct? I always liked that version
  17. Half of the 2000/01 season was held in Anterselva They hosted three rounds in December 2000 replacing Hochfilzen, Pokljuka AND Osrblie Then in January they hosted their own scheduled round.
  18. There is no snow in this part of Europe so what did you expect? We had more rain than snow this 'winter' in Poland so I suppose Czech Republic is no different.
  19. Pete Buttigieg has pulled out of the Dems nomination race even before Super Tuesday. His inability to attract black voters was the obvious killer.
  20. I read a US political piece but that was over 10 years ago that everything Netanyahu does is fuelled by his anger over his brother's death (esp. when it comes to West Bank settlements). Ramallah, Gaza Strip and Hamas are the resident bad guys but world terrorism has moved forward a lot in the last few years to the point these guys look like complete amateurs. Car bombs and knife attacks don't mean a thing in the global terrorism picture anymore.
  21. The Thailand FIM motorcycle Grand Prix round (March 20th-22nd) has been postponed indefinitely. It's funny, the first two editions were held in October and they moved it to March this season to bounce off the virus wall.
  22. I was registered on the old forum as well and registered here on March 2, 2016 so one can say I'm here from the start. And my first post was in the Biathlon Discussion thread because obviously it's biathlon Gotta say I had my doubts when the old forum folded but it seems this community has survived the wipeout after all
  23. Yes, I'm well aware of that. Obama wanted none of Netanyahu's aggressive politics and actually didn't fold to the Jewish lobby back in the States. Netanyahu still hasn't gotten over his brother's death and he never will even after 40+ years. This is a bitter old man these days, a complete contrast to what Obama was during his term in office.
