  1. But he's way too slow on skis to win it even with 20/20 IMO.
  2. In Poland we had two guys who used to do cycling in the summer and biathlon in the winter for ES. After Polsat Sport bought the rights on the heels of 2013-15 Polish women success one of those guys went there to join Weronika Nowakowska and Tomasz Sikora joined Eurosport. I have to say the old pairing was the best even though they focused on off-course action a lot (like the color of women's eye-lashes or new boots or rifles). Sikora tends to provide more background information like what does the housing looks like in different venues or other stuff. I quit watching ARD coverage like 5 years ago and I'm back to the oldest source in Eurosport for good
  3. Another error for Jakobssen! Sweden gifts the gold away! How the hell you lose on red course?
  4. Re-run is a BAD idea for Norway since Jakobssen had a terrible time. Norway don't know what they're doing!
  5. Slow winning time for Stjernesud. I'd say advantage Sweden. Jakobssen even slower after mistake. Solevaag blew it alltogether.
  6. Bissig too slow by 0,12 and Germany wins bronze.
  7. Yeah, first round was still acceptable but now it's all advantage red again
  8. Norway beats Switzerland by 0,02 Red course is visibly quicker now.
  9. Sweden dumps out Austria. Roenngren as the weak link didn't cost them.
  10. Marcin Szafranski recalled that win too but couldn't remember the Belgian's name
  11. Honkkanen led for 90% of the course and lost. This is where Finland blew their chance.
  12. Della Mea with the first crash today And she looks injured...
  13. 20 second course.... and no mandatory gaps in Team Event that really killed the parallel. Americans only through on total time.
  14. On countback Wierer would have won it anyway, her individual results are 1st, 4th & 9th. Hauser's are 1st, 4th & 38th so she got lucky with the stupid cut-off rule.
  15. Winterton missed like 95% of the women's sprint and only joined the broadcast right at the end. However it takes a lot of skill to notice Egan 15/15 and miss Davidova 15/15 who was leading the damn race However you can get carried away in the booth, Polish ES commentator in alpine skiing spend the majority of Kira Weidle's DH run talking about Thomas Dressen's DH medal chances and came back to Weidle 5 secs. before the finish when he suddenly realized she can win a medal too Actually both Wierer & Hauser won the small globe together
  16. Norway will never let that happen. They rule FIS and IOC can't afford to alienate the biggest winter sport nation. Forget about any cuts in cross country skiing. eSports is the new black. I told ya, the 2028 SOG in Los Angeles is perfect time to introduce this crap into Olympic fold.
  17. ARD/ZDF used to always run a special German-only feed and I got tired of that many moons ago so I don't watch biathlon there anymore. I'm fine with ES though either Polish or English crew tend to annoy me from time to time and I switch them. Going with the English guys today was a BAD choice So, you have a quick line to Baiba Bendika news?
  18. Then you're still before the Egan over Davidova brain freeze
  19. I was rude to our women skiers, we actually have three since Magdalena Luczak will take part in GS here. Zuzanna Czapska tore her ACL in the summer but she's still funded by our federation. But if we're ever gonna have someone at World Cup level within the next 10 years it's Luczak. https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/athlete-biography.html?sectorcode=al&competitorid=220884 https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/athlete-biography.html?sectorcode=al&competitorid=195453&type=result The Jasiczek brothers are self-funded and basically at odds with our federation. So they're probably gonna end up like Maciej Bydlinski and retire prematurely after being deemed "too old" to receive any help. Bydlinski was "too old" at age 28
  20. It was an all-time low for Winterton & Dixon just when I gave them a chance after the Polish crew went into blabber mode. They focused on Clare Egan's medal chances when Davidova was 50 secs ahead of her and leading the damn charts What were they looking at other than ignoring Eastern Europeans by default?
  21. Poland has one female skier and maybe two slalom guys who are completely worthless. We can't field a 6 person team even if we pull Marcin Szafranski from the Eurosport TV booth
  22. Too late. The damage has been done. Especially to all skiers who got screwed before the final.
  23. Of course it will be added. It's NEW and flashy and millenials love it. Alpine combined takes too long and is boring but the parallel shit is the new drug and perfect for TV. Who needs integrity and fairness?
  24. Unbelieveable bullshit! Liensberger still won both runs by at least 0,6 secs. Just GET RID of this parallel bullshit already!!! Yeah, it's unfair and the 0,5 mandatory gap screwed more people than just Liensberger in the final. This competition has turned into even a bigger joke that it was before.
