  1. I suppose the old fool Joe Biden's mission to Israel won't mean anything - like it was a PR stunt to begin with. I fully expect more Palestinian hospitals to be destroyed - Israel is in war with Palestinians and not just Hamas like they claim. A perfect moment in time for Netanjahu to kill as many Palestinians as possible and burn the Gaza Strip to the ground. I'm surprised it has taken him this long to do it but he ain't turning back now and that old fool Biden ain't gonna stop him either.
  2. I see you've done a complete backflip here. Just two years ago you argued that people who opposed breakdancing as Olympic sport (myself included) are stuck in the past, too outdated for modern reality and the so-called youth is the primary target that will dominate the future selections. Well, that narrative didn't last long, did it? Looks like the dreaded tradition actually matters more than short span tiktok generation After all, gridiron football has a long - careful, outdated word - tradition in USA which ultimately send the progressive breakdancing straight to the trash can. I'm not surprised that the "sport of the future" got axed so quickly. But that's not my problem, I never considered breakdancing as Olympic sport so I won't miss it whatsoever. USA is a very closed market for new sports tbh. Hell, the one sport that is getting some visibility push lately - also thanks to Lionel Messi - is soccer - which is kinda popular all over the world already. While some of the previously established popular US sports are regressing and will probably never regain it's showtime status - gymnastics thanks to Larry Nassar scandal or figure skating which is no longer seen as a Cold War battle with Soviet Union.
  3. What aged fast is breakdancing as Olympic sport. Like the old saying goes, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Olympics is business. Business thrives on reliable long-term customers. Tiktok generation is NOT a reliable customer. The breakdancing craze is almost over before the sport even made it's Olympic debut and USA - a country that understands what business is like no other - punted on the sport in favor of lacrosse The issue isn't that complex if you understand that sport is a business. It's not 1984 anymore when Ingemar Stenmark got banned for making too much money It appears that breakdancing simply isn't making enough money and it has no history or the dreaded tradition to lean on either. So it was swiftly removed after just one attempt.
  4. What are the odds the suspected shooter is a Muslim?
  5. Btw, just a couple of years ago some people were going crazy how breakdance is the sport of the future targeting youths and now it's axed from LA Games to make room for cricket - a sport historically associated with colonialism I suppose that's a huge progress indeed. Where is all the support for breakdance now?
  6. [hide] Knockout Stage October 14th - October 28th, 2023 4 Nations, The Winners of each Semifinal will qualify for Final. The Losing Nations of each Semifinal will play the Third-Place Match. 7. vs ends 1-1. Same old crap with or without Lewandowski or whomever the manager is
  8. Of course she will. She'll ride out some highly paid lectures & speeches from now on
  9. Center-right won elections in New Zealand. No wonder Jacinda Ardern jumped ship few months ago. This loss lands totally on her lap and she saw it coming from miles away and bailed out. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/10/13/asia/new-zealand-general-election-labour-national-intl-hnk/index.html
  10. New Zealand hangs on 28-24. The Ireland World Cup misery lives on.
  11. Well, early advantage New Zealand
  12. Marcos Moroni.
  13. Epic failure from Wales. Suits them well after Gatland called out Top 4 ranked teams from the other half for having to do better at the last World Cup https://www.bbc.com/sport/rugby-union/67089763
  14. Poland won 2-0. Faroe Islands played almost the entire second half with 10 men
  15. vs has kicked off. Probierz picked his U-21 buddy Patryk Peda from Serie C for the starting line-up
  16. The next deadline is the US President elections in 2024. If USA pulls the military & economic support from Ukraine then the war will take a massive shift in Russian favor and that's what Putin is counting on right now. Then you might expect all the sporting suspensions lifted en masse in 2025.
  17. The major of Alkmaar Anja Schouten has blocked her twitter account and appears to pretend nothing has happened. Good luck in hiding behind protected status on social media Another question is if the Legia fans are all to blame why none of them were arrested? The only people arrested were the two Legia players. Polish media are staying hot on this topic and it appears the Dutch police chief of match security was a completely new guy and this was the first match he supervized in this role.
  18. Rangers swept the Orioles, Astros won 3-1 vs Twins and Diamondbacks are pouring it on the Dodgers, four home runs in one inning and they lead the series 2-0 already.
  19. The next Russian talent I mentioned before - Alina Korneeva - has won her first WTA Main Draw match - in Hong Kong R1 vs Savinykh. She plays another teenager Linda Fruhvirtova in Round 2.
  20. [hide] Knockout Stage October 14th - October 28th, 2023 8 Nations, The Winners of each Quarterfinal will qualify for Semifinals. 21. Good luck in selling cricket in USA. You could hardly accept soccer which is the most popular sport in the world. And now you want cricket in Los Angeles? Some of these US fans would be more interested in hot dog eating competition than cricket IMO Cricket is fine for Commonwealth Games to celebrate centuries of colonialism but there's a reason why countries outside of the British rule never found any interest in that.
  22. The bottom line is cricket only has like 5-6 countries that can play this sport at elite level. And West Indies wouldn't qualify for OG anyway. What's the point of having blow out games at this level? All this talk about diversity @ Olympics and they choose one of the least diverse sport there is. Other than former British Empire colonies this sport has gained zero traction across the world. Even baseball is more diverse despite the all too-predictable USA vs Japan WBC final almost each time.
  23. None of these new sports have any depth. I mean even cricket World Cup has 10 teams playing and they make it an Olympic sport? How they will include West Indies anyway? Another change for a change chasing the mythical new fans? Good luck in explaining the tiktok generation the overs and runs scored
  24. One week later and Pariots lost 0-34 to New Orleans Saints at home Meanwhile Nathaniel Hackett got his revenge on Denver Broncos and Sean Payton who called him out before the season. Guess Hackett the scapegoat wasn't the only reason the Wilson contract looks utterly terrible?
  25. Rally Poland returns to the WRC calendar for 2024 It will be the 7th time the rally will be a part of WRC schedule (previously 1973, 2009, 2014-2017).
