  1. Michelle Gisin's season is over. She has suffered cartilage damage and a cruciate ligament strain on the right knee.
  2. Two Polish architects, Przemylslaw Gawęda and Marcin Sajdak, have launched a drawing of a new type of in-run for the ski jumpng hill in Zakopane. They have sent it to FIS.
  3. Nah, Skorusa's hobbies take too much of his time to learn a new language. "Girl" is not just a thing you do every Tuesday night. It's a much more time-consuming hobby... (or that is what I have heard.)
  4. I will say Skorusa's hobbies are pretty much the same as my uncle who is going through a midlife crisis.
  5. I guess girls is a big hobby for many polish biathletes.

  7. I'm happy for my first medal in the prediction contests. Our co-host, Germany, ended up with the sad wooden medal, so therefore I'm glad that @chrischi08 could take home the gold medal in the prediction contest. Congrats @chrischi08! Also a big congratulation to @amen09 with a strong finish and a nice bronze medal. And of course a big thanks to @Wanderer for hosting this contest.
  8. You have a pretty good chance to win a WC race for the men, if your flag is red, blue and white .
  9. No one can beat her now. Ukaleq Astri Slettemark writes sport history in Greenland. What a day for Greenland! Piluarit (congrats), Greenland and Ukaleq! I'm so happy for her.
  10. Go Slettemark! She's on her way to a gold medal.
  11. Alpine skier, Aksel Lund Svindal, will retire after this year's World Championship in Are.
  12. Aksel Lund Svindal has announced he is going to retire after the WCH.
  13. IPC has stripped Malaysia of the right to host the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships, which were due to be held in Kuching between 29 July and 4 August. The decision was taken by the IPC Governing Board at its meeting in London, Great Britain, after the Home Ministry of Malaysia failed to provide the necessary guarantees that Israeli Para swimmers could participate, free from discrimination, and safely in the Championships. This includes full compliance with the IPC protocols related to anthems and flags, and where required the provision of relevant visas. Andrew Parsons, IPC President, said: “All World Championships must be open to all eligible athletes and nations to compete safely and free from discrimination. When a host country excludes athletes from a particular nation, for political reasons, then we have absolutely no alternative but to look for a new Championships host. The Paralympic Movement has, and always will be, motivated by a desire to drive inclusion, not exclusion. Regardless of the countries involved in this matter, the IPC would take the same decision again if it was to face a similar situation involving different countries". I would wish there were more governing boards like IPC in the world of sport organisations.
  14. @Griff88 It looks like a huge crisis for Danish badminton has been averted. The players and Badminton Denmark have reached an agreement on a new deal, confirms Badminton Denmark. The new deal still has to be approved by all members on each side later today, so further information will be announced in the coming hours. Update with comments from both sides: The players spokesman, Hans-Kristian Vittinghus, is pleased that there is now a clear deal. - After a long negotiation process, we are very pleased that we have finally reached the goal of a new collective national team deal, which has always been the wish of the players. With the new deal, we have created a clear framework in the commercial area, so that both Badminton Denmark and we, the players, have good opportunities to exploit our commercial rights together and separately. At the same time, we, the players, have been assured that the collaboration on training and tournament participation will continue as before, says Hans-Kristian Vittinghus. In 2018, Badminton Denmark terminated the previous national team deal, which both parties felt needed a clarification. Bo Jensen believes that this goal has been met. - We have reached an agreement on a much more clear and precise description of in what situations and in what way we can use each other's commercial rights in connection with national team sponsorships. It has been crucial for us to get an agreement text, where the players do not risk getting into a breach of contract in relation to their individual agreements, says the director. According to the players 'union, the Danish Elite Sports Practitioners Association, the agreement ensures Badminton Denmark better opportunities "to use the players' commercial rights within some clearly defined framework". At the same time, there is an agreement that the players achieve a more flexible solution in relation to their own sponsors. In addition, players will in the future be covered by work injury insurance, which is signed by Badminton Denmark.

  16. I just hope Tauson is going to more successful than Kristian Pless. (Probably the best male junior player in Danish tennis history).
  17. I guess France had hoped the WCH was now. Their relay team would be "decent".
  18. I also have to mentioned that Clara Tauson won the Girls Junior title by beating Leylah Annie Fernandez 6-4, 6-3.
  19. Osaka will become the first Asian tennis player to be no. 1 in the singles ranking.
  20. Here are some results: http://www.engarde-service.com/files/escrimecompetitions/stmaur_2019/in/index.php?page=poules1.htm
  21. If Milano-Cortina wins the candidacy to host the 2026 Winter Olympics, it would be a perfect time to introduce this discipline to the Olympic program. IOC could cut the many new mixed events and give the quotas to NT luge.
  22. At least Italy is still a powerhouse in Natural Track luge.
