  4. Prediction Contests Are Just-For-Fun Games You don't need to be an expert to take part in a Prediction Contest. If a mistake penalizes you, always keep in mind that everyone is in good faith. DO NOT click on "Remove formatting" under any circumstances) Once you have specified content in new Post, start making your predictions according to the Rules To post your predictions, click on "Submit Reply" button Rules For this Prediction Contest you are predicting point difference for each match. To do that, you have to write in empty Cell a number - point difference for each match. If your prediction is that Nation 1 is going to win, you should type point difference in appropriate Cell of T1 Column. If your prediction is that Nation 2 is going to win, then type point difference in appropriate Cell of T2 Column. In case you think the match is going to end with a tie (draw), type 0 in any of the corresponding Cells. There cannot be 0 as point difference in the Semfinals and Medal Matches, and result after overtime/penalties will be counted as final result. If your prediction is perfect (correct winner + correct goal difference or a draw) you will earn 10+10=20 points. Depending on difference between your prediction and actual result, earned points will differ. Number or perfect predictions throughout the contest will be compared for the involved contestants. If they are still tied, number of second best scores will be compared, then number of third best results and so on. Example Contestant 1: 3x20, 2x19, 2x18, 2x17 Contestant 2: 3x20, 2x19, 2x18, 1x17 Contestant 1 will be placed ahead of Contestant 2. The contestant with most points wins the competition. The Ranking is determined by the Sum of Points the Contestant scores in all predicted Matches. You can enter the Contest whenever you want. The moment you post your predictions is the moment when you are entering the Contest and your points will be calculated for all the matches you predicted AND which haven't started. In order to earn points from the start, you should post your predictions before the start of the first match of the Championship - January 9th, h. 18:15 (GMT +1). You can EDIT your predictions whenever you want until the start of the first match of the Prediction Design Post. Once competition starts, you are not allowed to edit your post and any further changes will be ignored. On contestant's request, edited predictions will be accepted, but contestant will earn 0 points for finished matches and the matches that have started. Moment at the latest editing will be considered as the entry moment, in other words. If you want to comment on this Prediction Contest, please use the Prediction Contests - Discussion Thread. If you have problem with the format, you can post your predictions in simplified format. Make sure your predictions are understandable. For instance, 8 CRO-MNE means Croatia beats Montenegro by 8.   6. All this discussion about "Carmen" has made me think. What are your favourite piece/s of classical music? I have a long list of pieces of classical music I love. I will probably make a top 12 or maybe a top 20 one day. But as it is almost New Year's Eve here in Denmark, why not end the year with a piece of music many people here in Denmark associate with New Year.

  8. It's a shame that lesbians can be laughed at and gay men can end up in a physical confronration just for holding hands. I don't understand why people would make comments about two men or two women holding hands while a man and a woman holding hands don't have that effect?

  10. @Agger Many great songs on your list. I did also consider to have Rammstein "Deutschland" and Aldous Harding "The Barrel" in my top 12. Nick Cave's album, "Ghosteen" is one of the best album in many years.

  14. I would personally prefer TISC to be held in April-May and October-November, but if it was held one month before or after, I wouldn't mind it. However, I don't like to see a host who has not included all rules in the TISC rulebook for this edition. (a) The host organisation must allow a minimum of 3 weeks from the opening date for the national selection and the deadline to submit an entry. This is to give users enough time to see the thread, consider song and artist choices and submit their entries. 8. (b) The host organisation must allow a minimum of 2 weeks for National Juries to submit their votes during the National Jury voting phase.   16. There are still three days left of the year. Should be enough time to select 12 songs. I don't use Spotify. I mostly use Youtube and a Danish music website, http://www.chartbase.dk/. I find my metal music on Youtube combined with music news websites. I mainly use the Danish music website to discover new Danish music for TAISC. The Danish website is also a good source to discover new artists from the electronic and indie-rock/pop scene. On a side note. @Agger I already have a list of 40 songs for the Danish selection for TAISC 2020. I hope you have a lot of spare time in the spring?
  17. I discovered it via a Danish music website. One of the editors had chosen it as his "hit of the week". I hadn't heard about the band before they were recommended on the site. I find it a bit weird I have never heard about a band who's front singer is one of Bono's sons. I'm glad I now know the band.

  19. Well, sad for you. But in all seriousness, I do like tennis, but I'm not sure if I want to keep the current format of the tennis prediction contests? Also, I can't come up with a new format. Furthermore, I'm not sure how many users are interested in tennis prediction contests? I don't follow speed skating closely. I only watch it at the Olympics. With all of these world championships, I just picked the one which to me seemed to involve most events. I guess I was wrong in my assumption.
