Russian day in Verona...2 Sabre events and 2 Gold medals for them...

for Italy, despite a not so good overall team performance, still a couple of (very lucky, especially Lucarini's) medals, which is always a very respectable result...

Tomorrow, it's always Individual Sabre time, but for the Cadets (therefore, it's also the main YOG qualification event)...

    • Congrats to @Hipooofor a well deserved win. Amazing song.   Congratulations to the 3rd place @Erigert. So happy for you and well done.    Thank you @Cinnamon Bunfor all your hard work. Well done.
    • It’s always kind of fascinating to me the extend to which MAGAs hate around half of the country.   Not that this current doesn’t also exist on the left, but ya know, just seems like an odd posture to take for someone who claims to be a patriot.   Anyway, unfortunatly I don’t have any tears to donate because I’ve never cried over politics, the only times I’ve cried as an adult were when my dad died and when I was divorcing my ex. The extend to which I don’t cry is actually a bit unhealthy and I’m working on it!   Anyway, Stitch is super queer and neurodivergent coded, and he’s an illegal alien living in a deep blue state, so he probably voted for Harris. And unlike me he can give you some tears.

    • I think this is the least good of the games since… either Salt Lake or Turin.   I still like it, we don’t really get bad looks of the game anymore.   Pictograms are solidly okay imo.

    • Given Trump wants a law saying that only gender assigned at birth should be recognized, I wonder how such a law (along with any laws "protecting women’s sports") would affect athletes with DSDs. Because it would make it illegal to consider athletes like Caster Semenya or Imane Khelif as anything other than female, since that’s their gender assigned at birth and that’s apparently immutable.   There is an interesting tension there.
    • I honestly don't like them very much, but that's because I prefer a minimalist approach on the Rio 2016 model. I loved those pictograms. But hey, at least they are definitely better than Paris 2024
    • Can't imagine being anyone better to be on top for the Olympics and the world cup.  Someone who loves America so much and will demand a full spectacle to show our strength and power.    This is the unsung benefit of his amazing elections.    I wasnt going to go to the opening ceremony.  But now I definetly will!
    • 5 days later,  and I love coming here to consume the leftist tears since trump swept the election.  Keep them coming.   Leftist tears power my days.    I can't get a lot of work done because I keep looking at liberal meltdowns on tiktok.  It's so satisfying!
    • You are doing a great job bro. We are proud of your selection.
