:LUXNicholas Wagner scored 73.9% in Belgium today... It's enough to provisionally put Luxembourg back on top of Group B rankings.

Also, :RSA Nicole Smith got 66%. However, since there were no 5* judges at the competition, this doesn't count for the Certificate of Capability. Still, it's a good sign for the upcoming events.

:CZE Miroslav Trunda was victorious at CCI4*-S in Minsk, earning himself new 41 points. Following this success, it looks like Czech Republic may qualify as much as two individuals in eventing. :yikes: And they probably will get two individuals, once Thailand fails to obtain MERs and Russia gets a composite team...

Czechs could have been serious contenders for team qualification as well, but I guess Tokyo came a year too soon. Still, it's impressive how they all of a sudden have a bunch of good riders and quality horses.

Bad news for :CHN China... Huadong Sun and Yingfeng Bao failed to reach minimum requirements in Ireland this weekend.

This pretty much leaves China with one last chance to keep their team quota. Pratoni will host a CCI4*-L event in November. That's it. Their final chance.

So, at present, China and Thailand are not eligible for team quota. Also, only 3 riders (2 from China and 1 from Thailand) have met minimum requirements in Group G.

Also, not sure why Fouaad Mirza is not trying for CCI4*-L events. He has achieved MER in CCI4*-S  event so should be eligible for CCI4*-L but I still see him competing in only smaller courses.

Well, as an individual rider, he can still reach CCI4*-L requirements next year.

However, looks like he's trying to qualify directly through overall rankings, irregardless of what happens to CHN and THA. He collected decent points with a pair of 7th places. It's a start.
