In fact saying Mugabe had racial issues against white peoples is a bit funny, since for years Kirsty Coventry (whiter than flour herself) was introduced as the Mugabe´s golden girl. One would even say she was like his daughter seeing how often they were pictured together :d

Well duh, she brought the country glory and if there's one thing ruthless dictators like, it's glory and using the people who bring it :p

Yes

I’d say George Washington maybe, or maybe Wilson?

Didn’t Woodrow Wilson ‘bring democracy’ to a number of Latin American nations?

Yep, forgot about that. He did try to found the United Nations before people were ready though, and he did admit to many of his mistakes.

See this proves Mugabe learned from his mistakes and tried to rectify them. They should rename Zimbabwe as Mugabeland in honor of the great nationalist, saviour of proletariat, humanitarian and philanthropist Robert Mugabe.

I'd like Germany to change it's name to Hitleropia. He did, you know, kill himself. So that's good.

Il y a 2 heures, heywoodu a dit :

How many of them have a somewhat decent chance? 26 candidates sounds like...a lot :d

It is still completely unclear no one will get more than 15-20 %  maybe 7 or 8 have decent chance at least to be in second round (top 2 )

i think the top 6 (without ranking ) will be

youcef chahed 43 yo  Head of the Tunisian government since 2016

Moncef Marzouki 74 yo Former President of the Republic of Tunisia, 2011-2014

Kais Saied  61yo Tunisian jurist and professor of constitutional

Abdelkarim Zbidi 69 yo Minister of National Defence.

Abdelfatteh Mourou  71 yo  Vice President of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People since 2014

Abir Moussi  44 yo  Tunisian lawyer

Nabil Karoui  56 yo business  and owner of the Tunisian television station Nessma.(he is now in jail) but he can win  :lol::lol:

Mourou marzouki and Abir moussi they can finish first in the first round but they dont have  any chance to win in scond round  only if two of them finish in top 2 (because of alliances)

So apparently Trump called off what would have been secret peace negotiations between the Taliban and the government of Afghanistan with the US as mediator to be held at Camp David starting somewhere around 9/11. Obviously people are furious that the government would have thought of such things, but my viewpoint differs here.

I think this was a step in the right direction. The dates should have been not during 9/11. However, peace talks are what’s needed. It’s what would’ve been best for the people of Afghanistan, who are the one's who suffered the most. It would have helped Afghanistan in multiple ways. It would have ended a nearly two decade war. It might have actually done good.

I hope the next President is willing to facilitate such discussions.

    • It's an interesting question, Norway is certainly expanding their efforts into a number of new sports. So, that cannot help but to peal off a few more natural athletes. I know their training methods are kinda rocking the world in a number of summer endurance sports.  I can't really speak to they dynamics of their development program. Their men's nordic programs largely always seem to be ridiculously deep, overwhelmingly so the last decade or so.

    • But it seems to us that Norway wasn't as strong in Lillehammer 1994 as it was later? And not just in women's events. Generally, until 2000, Norway was much weaker in women's biathlon and women`s cross-country skiing. I remember in the 1990s, Italy's biggest rivals, Belmondo and di Centa, were Russia, when Norway somewhere further back and only in the classic style. Bente Martinsen- Skari, this is their first really strong girl in cross country, just about 2000, just like Liv Grete Skielbreid- Pioree in women`s biathlon at similar times.   Do you think, that is there any hope that thanks to the popularity of Haaland and football in general in Norway in recent years, winter sports such as biathlon or cross-country skiing will lose a little bit, becouse that?

    • This suggestion  @Dnl  made some months ago has also been implemented.   In each club, I have added a "Milano Cortina 2026 Qualification Tracker" record which takes the content from the Qualification by Nation tracker of that NOC.   People who see it can not edit the content, but it will be automatically updated once @Matej will update the record, and if you notice any mistake feel free to report it to Matej or in the record itself.   Club's admins can now edit the name of the section into their own language or change the spelling, I have used "Milano Cortina 2026 Qualification Tracker" for all the clubs. To do so, go inside the section, then click on "Manage Club"-"Edit this database Record" and change the name of the section:     By the way, if you are not a club's admin but you would like to edit things inside the club just let me know and I will give you the rights to do so. There can be more "admins" inside the club with the rights to edit and organize the sections, and that's not a role that require time or commitment.   Let's try to make all the clubs active during MiCo and when the LA28 qualifications will start!
