It's a shame. At World Cup ORF always delivers live qualies, since this are Worlds, I was sure this time would be no difference

I think they have no chance, when there are no cameras. Do they only have one run? There stands qualification completed ...

I believe there are 2 runs, and also they most likely race on the slope, which will host finals. But still such a pity there is no broadcast.

oh shit...

well, that is disappointing again..however, the positive thing is that this is not an olympic event, so it will not hurt so much I hope, but pity obviously, it was definitely a medal opportunity to grab today.

Since there no stream nor anything, anyone know what exactly happened ? I mean if it was a crash ? and if yes, did she looks injured ? Have no information anywhere here, just that she DNF and thus will not compete afternoon.

Thanks

Ah, mystery. My guess at 10.00 there will race men 1st run, than around 11.00 2nd run Women, and at 12.00 2nd run Men, which is stupid.

Another long day for skiers in Cortina.

I believe, they have 2 runs, at least according to the rules, otherwise the race have to be cancelled.

Every skier must compete on both tracks to qualify.

Right now ou sport site claims that the W qualifiers are completed...what a mayhem

so Vlhová, Gut-Behrami, Sara Hector all out

this is the list of qualified

(According to Šport.sk)

Do hlavných pretekov paralelného obrovského slalomu postúpilo týchto 16 pretekárok:

Wendy Holdenerová
Tina Robniková
Maryna Gasienicová-Danielová
Andrea Filserová
Paula Moltzanová
Tessa Worleyová
Alexandra Tilleyová
Marta Bassinová
Meta Hrovatová
Katharina Liensbergerová
Coralie Frasseová Sombetová
Stephanie Brunnerová
Federica Brignoneová
Estelle Alphandová
Piera Hudsonová
Nina O'Brienová

still nothing about Vlhová, hope it was not because of crash, injury or something like that :fingers:

Ah, this is what I wanted to know. I mean, it sounds completely logical and fair, but you know...FIS, I wouldn't have been surprised if they had some weird thing saying in world championships everyone goes once (either on blue or red) and that's it

This has to be wrong, there should be another run, as you pointed out, those are the rules. Otherwise this discipline is already unvalid and a pure joke.

    • is having its general election today.   In a big turnaround, the Liberals lead by Mark Carney are now ahead in the polls, after having been over 20 points behind as recently as December. This is mostly credited to the resignation of Justin Trudeau and America's on and off trade war, along with comments Donald Trump made about Canada becoming the 51st state.   While the Liberals are favoured to win a fourth consecutive election, there is a lot of uncertainty around whether it will be a majority or a minority government. There is also an outside chance of the Conservatives, lead by Piere Poilievre, will form a minority government.
    • Ukraine has made progress recently and lost yesterday on penalties to the UK, but that still doesn't explain why the Italian team isn't making any progress. We are sitting in a lower division for 3 years and that's with a ban for Rus and Blr. New and great coaches are being brought in and it's not giving any results. 8-10 years ago we were regularly playing in the highest division, every 2 years and that was with a much stronger teams (Russia and Belarus were there). I don't know where the problem is.

    • Many things, probably they thought it is already over and the win will come itself... but also Nitra improved their play a lot, they outplayed us in physicality in the last 2 games, they won almost every duel. Was hard to watch. Anyway I am still persuated we will finish the job at home with success on Tuesday
    • If you look at their results this season and on the Super Series, it’s not really that surprising.    I’d consider them to be medal contenders.
    • At one point it seemed we were making good progress in this sport, but in the past 1-2 years things seem to have hit a standstill..   Ivaylo Ivanov is still our only elite judoka, but he is passing 30. There were/are some promising youngsters, but they haven't been able to make a jump to the senior level. At this Euro we barely had any first round wins (not including Ivanov). In fencing and taekwondo the results are much more visible for us.
    • yes, but that's only an (important) episode... I mean, what's up with your team more in general...it looks like they got the classic "fear to win", they're not as brilliant as they were in the early games of the series
