He's out of the team competition. Replaced by Shane Sweetnam on Alejandro

As expected, a lot of teams have entered a substitution for the team competition.

Make that 14/19.

Morocco too changed a horse. Ali Al-Ahrach will become another rider to compete on two horses in one Olympics.

Again an easier course for the qualifier.

Still lots of faults for the likes of Czech Republic and China, but should be mostly 0s and 4s for the big teams. Everything starts from scratch in the final anyway.

Apparently Ireland can still make the final... If another 9 nations get an elimination and they have the highest two-rider score.

So they have to compete. What a cruel format.

  Sighel took a big risk on the last turn. Luckily there was no PEN. You can take such risks at the World Cup, but at the Olympics you can lose a certain silver to attack for gold. Today in the relay there are the big 5: Can, Kor, Chn, Ned and Ita. So it will be a terrible fight even at the semi-final level. The Italians are a bit miss a 4 skater: Antonioli is a level lower and I think we have to count on Previtali's progress until next year. Today, for the first time since 2022, Fontana showed great skate. There is some hope for the future, but the level is insanely high.
