In the Chess Olympiad in Hungary, Bangladesh's opponent in the open section for the tenth round is Is*rael. However, one of Bangladesh's top Grandmasters, Enamul Hossain Rajib, has decided not to play in this round. He has announced his boycott of the match, specifically because the opponent is Israel.

On Friday night, Enamul wrote on his Facebook profile, "In the 2022 Chess Olympiad in Chennai and the 2024 Chess Olympiad in Hungary, Russia and Belarus were not allowed to participate as teams. So how can Israel participate in the current situation? Tomorrow, their match is against Bangladesh. I am boycotting it."
