Meanwhile over in Kentucky, Jung held on in front of Livio this time. Having one rail down was enough. He becomes the first ever rider to win Kentucky three times in a row. Next weekend he'll be competing in Badminton! It's an amazing time of the year for eventing.

 

 

These big 4* competitions are such a great combination of top class athletes and athletes who are over the moon just to be there. Jumping course was quite hard, with only a few clears. So it was really cool to see Jennifer McFall celebrating her clear round in a big way, despite being a loooong way outside of battle for the top.

Haha, looks like they cut the commentary from audience's headsets because they were causing too much laughter.

First day of the dressage has been completed.

 

Vallette - 38.70

Hoy - 39.20

Jung - 40.00

 

Defending champions Michael Jung & Sam very much in touch, but with a considerably lower mark than last year (it was score of 34 a year ago).

 

Meanwhile, live streaming and replay services have been switched to youtube due to some technical difficulties.
