Well, I’m here to rain on the parade. Both of our men’s singles in Squash have lost in their quarterfinal matches today. Beach Volleyball (the women) have already won their group though.

Here is a recap of team USA 

 

Artistic Skating- both Americans (1 man & 1 woman) are in 6th place after the short program.

 

Beach Volleyball- the women’s team won, but the men’s team lost

 

Modern Pentathlon- women are in 15th, 17th & 19th after fencing.  Men are in 7th & 16th after fencing.

 

Rugby- both men’s & women’s teams dominated in their wins.

 

Squash- both men’s singles athletes were knocked out in the quarterfinals.  The men’s doubles & women’s doubles teams won today and advanced to the semifinals.

      We have much more events and there may be no Russia in 2026 so most of the NOCs should improve. But not Poland i’m afraid

      I’ve had 2weeks long Olympic holidays each time since i graduated from the university in ancient times of year 2003   Both winter and summer. Always.   i had those olympic holidays in every job contract 😉

      For sure better for  one silver - I think it was Shelly Rudman, Skeleton.  Can definitely improve on that.   Still remember it as a good games, though - think it was the first time I took two weeks off work to watch a Winter Games.
