Shooting ISSF World Cup 2026

Recommended Posts

so, one of the most boring world cup stages ever has ended

if it wasn't for :GER and :IND, winning 1 gold medal each, a :CHN sweep would have come true, as they won all the remaining 8 gold medals (and a bunch of silver and bronze, too) :yikes::hairpull:

while some sports are brcoming more and more global, it looks that (rifle and pistol) shooting is going the other way round, it's becoming less and less global, with just 1 or 2 dominating Countries and a few others filling the (minor) gaps here and there, with always less Nations capable to win medals (only 12, out of 10 competitions) and even make the final

now the Rifle and Pistol world cup takes a break to allow most Continental championships to take place between the end of April and May.

It will be back in :GER Munich in the last week of May.

In the meantime, the Shotgun specialists will be on stage from May 2nd through May, 11th in :KAZ Almaty.

Well i think this world cup cannot be taken as a basis to see country domination ....india has sent its B team , south korea was not there so pistol competition was low .....

In rifle it is a bit broader - china , india , france , germany , norway .....india not there with top team , you could china did not dominate as much

strength does not come from physical capacity but from an indomitable will. - Gandhi

very controversial finish in this event, with a clear home call by the judges which allowed the Home favourite to repeat 2 shots she missed in the first instance that would have left her in 3rd place instead of advancing in the final stint, where she even won the gold medal

    • @Sindo One note...is there a way to make the top graphic a little smaller on mobile?  When I'm on my phone, the top graphic (the one that has the graphic+sport name) only shows the left half, but if you swipe right you see the rest...but that's different than the swiping right in the table...if you swipe right on the graphic, it makes white space appear underneath where the rest of the table might be.  Sorry if that doesn't make sense. Attached are screenshots from my phone.         (In my head, the Archery logo would be just screen width, and you could swipe the tables as it currently stands.)
