With the end of group stage we lost 12 teams out of 20, with the top 2 in each of the 4 groups making it to the next round (super 8s)

 

   has been the story of the group stages winning against both  &  in group stages.

 

Among the associate members,  made a memorable debut in the world cup. Winning a match & being competitive against much higher rank opponents.  were also very competitive & narrowly lost against   

 

 

In the Super 8's stage team are divided in 2 groups with top 2 from each group making it to SF.

that was quite unexpected after the group stage games

 won the last, decisive match against in the Super-8 phase and qualified to the semifinals, especially thanks to a great performance by Samson Sanju with the bat (97 not out from 50 balls) 

once again, the bowlers let the Windies' hopes down when it really mattered (and despite a decent start with 2 important wickets in the early overs)
