's Rumesh Tharanga threw 89.37m yesterday in the men's javelin. Now three South Asian countries have medal contenders in this event. Interesting how that works. 

Just noticed that the Mixed 4x100m is all within one session, similar to the W 100m.  (Day 3 Afternoon) Round 1 and Finals are just 85 minutes apart.  (Seems to only benefit those nations that have huge depth and can sub out runners.)
