I am pretty sure the results of the world championships will change things significantly. Two guaranteed spots for teams and four guaranteed spots for individuals (I think) will take several that are ahead out of the mix.
And if they stop Ski Jumping would go down to only
Germany and Austria being properly competitive for the men with Slovenia only competitive for the Women.
These are certainly not as serious problems as they used to be in Finland, which went from being a hemomon to a weakling in this sport. Norway certainly still spends more money on ski jumping than Poland, Slovenia, or Japan.

I remember the older days when Johaug lost almost every finish to Bjorgen and Kowalczyk. She won first in 2011 in Oslo in the 30 km, because Bjoergen and Justyna underestimated her a bit and gave up on her for many seconds.
I just saw the Wikipedia article about the Ski Mountaineering qualification and I'm a bit worried. Look, I know almost nothing about the sport and its qualification method, but why does Slovakia not even look like it is eligible for a spot in the women's sprint? Where is Jagerčíková?
