Cross-Country Skiing Discussion | Qualification to Winter Olympic Games Milano Cortina 2026 Road to Milano Cortina 2026

It's more about China/Andorra swap inside/outside top 20. China now gets 2 quota places instead 1 before Brazil gets their first one.

Nina Riedener might no longer be Liechtenstein's top female athlete :yikes:

15-year old Annina Uehli beat her at the Swiss championships over the weekend, with a result that would suggest she'd have been able to qualify Liechtenstein for the Olympics as well in Trondheim (as Riedener of course ended up doing).

Also interesting, during the mixed relay at the FESA Games in Planica a few weeks ago, she was actually (significantly) faster than both guys in her team.

Anyone knows how the Poland/Ukraine switch means Brazil dropped a spot in the reallocation ranking and now is 23rd instead of 22nd there? I know, 23 or 22 spots being reallocted doesn't really matter realistically, because both are just not gonna happen, but still.

"Good" news for you, FIS updated the reallocation queue. It is now simply the Round 4 of the "remaining quota places" as it is stated in the qualification rules, not the continuation where it stopped previously. Brazil moved up in the queue up to 19th spot for women.

Hopefully 2031 goes to Planica, that was awesome. Oberstdorf was organized quite good as well, anything better than Trondheim really, but Planica would just be extra fun :cheer:

Good to see Drammen and USA on the calendar as well!

I wonder what "Premium Global Destination Partner" will mean exactly, it sounds like one of those super empty titles they give to some 'partnership'. Will they replace Stora Enso, for example?

Yea with their logo all over the place. Because when I think skiing Azerbaijan is the first place that comes to mind.

Yeah no, not really of course

Just, there are so many titles nowadays for 'premium partner' for this and 'premium partner' for that, and whatnot, so I wonder if this means Stora Enso is gone from the FIS Nordic world championships (kind of a shame, this year they gave some cute little trees to all medal winners and some spectators), or if this is something that comes next to it at world championships.
