If considering reducing Summer Games™ there is another solution: we have Summer Games™, we have Winter Games™, all we need are just Autumn and Spring games™! 

 

All "summer" indoor sports go to Autumn Games™. Questionable are sports for Spring Games™ - but we could find it out. 

 

We can have Olympics™ every year - it is 100% more Olympics™ per year! 

And of course, more $$$  for the IOC!  

Until 1992, the Summer and Winter Games were held in the same year, but was that a good thing? Then, for next 4 years, practically nothing happened in Olympic sports. btw., Futsal can also be added to the Winter Olympics... It takes place indoor and the World Championships and European Championships are usually held in winter months

Mood is beginning to shift I think with the end of Milan (in a "shit, it's getting real" way). I beline at the end, Alpes 2030 will be okay, but with some shortcomings (like speed skating in foreign land)

Macron was a strong supporter of this project, or did he only give guarantees at the very end? I remember it happening just before Paris 2024 began- I think 2-3 days earlier. It's a shame Switzerland doesn't want to host these games – it's a wealthy country with a long tradition of snow sports. There would be a lot of interest from fans and a good atmosphere.

Yes, from 1994, it was indoor only. I suppose ISU will veto an outdoor venue these days.

I don't remember the last time there was a speed skating competition in Turin - it was probably in 2006 during the Turin Olympics.

no, there was a world cup stage also the following year, then the track was dismissed and the hall reverted back to its usual tasks (not sport related)
