Why not?
Going by the Asian games results (which was just 6 months back) 

we should be favourites for LM2x ( we are comfortably clear of the field) 

It will between  &  on who wins the M1x .

I have seen  fans expecting quotas even in most unrealistic cases  & I can’t expect quota for  in a 2 boat race for a quota place?? 
The other race we are going to win & we COULD win M1X too..thus my expectations!

I’m just saying you said it yourself. You can predict that India will qualify two boats here, but having it as an expectation while also saying that Hong Kong will be a contender is puzzling.

I am not Predicting but expecting as we have a fair and equal chance!

Also for your benefit the literal meaning of those 2 words are interrelated you only predict what you expect!
