:GRE Maria Sakkari has announced the end of her season due to a shoulder injury.

@Makedonas

Not a surprise, she hasn't played a completed match since the Olympics and has been withdrawing from every tournament except the US Open where she was clearly injured and retired after one set.

I think this drop in the rankings can be good for her and take off some pressure and that she will rise again once she is healthy!

I also can't help but think what would've happened in Paris had she not been injured, she still almost beat Kostyuk (and probably should've won that match regardless, she was two points away in the second set) to make the quarterfinals, then would've had to play Vekic and Schmiedlova for a spot in the final...

:AIN (BLR) Sabalenka defeated home crowd favourite (and WTA’s public #1 enemy) :CHN Zheng 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 for her 3rd consecutive title in Wuhan.

As soon as the match was over there was a song over the loudspeaker that went like “Saba-Saba-Saba-Lenka”, really funny stuff :lol:

You write these results quite funny. In tennis it`s quite unusual, e.g. 2x 3 places

Never actually noticed how off it seems, I totally agree. From now on I’ll probably change the format to something like this :p

_ Singles

Champion- :WHT

Runner Up- :WHT
