@Dennis have a question about the mascots that they hand out to eventual medal winners. Is this Bing Dwen Dwen (Beijing 2022 Olympic mascot) in an outfit?

I don't have an answer to this, but it does indeed look like it.

Lots of drama in the mixed 2000m relay A-final at the Seoul WC :drama:

Park Ji-Won collided with Jens Van T’Wout heading into the final turn, which led South Korea to getting penalized. They restart the race, and this time another collision between Brandon Kim, and Pietro Sieghel with two laps to go. United States got penalized (well deserved) for their lane change (outside to in), but instead of the B-final winner podiuming (which is what would happen at the Olympics, the winner of the B-final was Belgium), Italy and United States shared the bronze. Of course, I would be completely fine with no medal too, but that was a horrible reffing call.

Ah yeah, I only just woke up. :p

Didn't see the race, but I can't remember ever seeing a double winner on any distance :yikes:

Disappointing quarterfinal exit for Canada’s men’s 5000m relay, but other than that it’s been a pretty good WC for us. Excited to see what we’ll be able to do at future WCs and the World Championships in Rotterdam, with Kim Boutin back it could provide us with a couple more medal chances.

If I'm not mistaken, this is Sighel's first penalty this season; last year, he used to get at least one per race. However, it's also the first race where Sighel is back to doing what he does best, taking risks at full throttle. The penalty is fair; he widened his arm a bit. But I'm glad to have seen him lively, especially after the insults he received yesterday on a well-known Italian sports Facebook page (to which he responded).

    • And this is the final Medal Table fo the XX Bolivarian Games in
    • Agreed. But OTOH, the chances of a Male Team pursuit medal also seem rather slim at the moment, so why the hassle of dropping someone.
    • I have a sports database with millions of entries, which I then convert graphically on my Wikipedia sandbox.
    • Wouldn't be surprised to see the same this time. The men's 500m has basically on or with luck two medal chances, but certainly not three (semi-realistic) ones. With Beau Snellink for now not exactly on his way to an Olympic ticket and Patrick Roest still questionable, that might only leave Chris Huizinga, Jorrit Bergsma and Marcel Bosker, and that is not exactly a group one would want to have in the team pursuit.
    • 4 years ago the third Male 500 metres qualifier was dropped for a Team pursuit rider.
    • In the 5000 she probably won't (first alternate at the moment).      What are the chances of the matrix "prioritizing" a mTP squad ?
