The only competition left for most countries is the Pan American Championships, but I doubt there will be any significant changes, except Argentina overtaking El Salvador for the last spot giving 3 athletes and Barbados passing over Venezuela for the last spot with 2 athletes,

Sadly, I can see Suriname missing the competition, unless some of the other countries drops a quota.

Suriname is frustrating. They have the talent but refuse to compete. At this rate they will have one of the smallest teams.

They also won't compete at the Pan Am Championships.

@intoronto@Olympian1010Do you know if the Copa Merengue archery competition this week is the "Qualification event" mentioned in the Qualification Systems packet. In the packet the event is scheduled for June 2023, but World Archery has this tournament as a Pan Am Games qualifier.

There isn't. I was going of a local newspaper. However, the Santiago 2023 team will be organizing the event and testing all functional areas. So id imagine we will get better than normal results (hopefully)

Yes, let’s hope that. I saw a small news puece at Chile’s rowing federation site, so I’ll be following that.

Or maybe, Panam Sports will provide coverage or streaming.

    • Honestly, I think you guys have a much better chance of success here than we do. It's already difficult to maintain this sport, and with this ridiculous format this year, things have gotten even worse. Years and years participating in the elite and we haven't been able to evolve; it was just a waste.

    • Another weak result for our athletics team, which is typical; without Caio or Alisson, our chances of a medal in any high-level tournament are almost zero.   However, Juliana's result in the women's pole vault was a great 7th place. She is improving rapidly and still has a lot of room for growth.

    • some changes in the team and less importance to the sport, the two big teams until 2022/2023 ( and ) in south america started to decrease a lot and in the other hand the 3rd in South America () is growing a lot, is really impressive. We are currently the favourites for the LA2028 quota
    • Last few weeks of the World Cup season for winter sports (and Junior Worlds, depending on streaming), Men's Curling Worlds, Saquarema Elite 16, and some tennis   That's it unless I'm missing something, not much going on    Which is a good thing honestly, very busy next couple of weeks.
    • What happened to Brazil's women's team? On the other hand it looks like Argentina may be the top South American team on the women's side. Defeating Spain, China and South Africa was unlikely up until this year
