China is very strong in men's sitting sprint though, and there's always Romele and the Ukrainians. I mean it's doubtful that he doesn't win gold, but we'll see.

Bruna was in touch with the para team's coach yesterday (her very first coach of many years ago and former Olympian Leandro Ribela), and there are no issues or anything. If he's indeed healthy and doesn't fall, he should be at least a 90% favourite or so. If not more.

I don't know if Romele has been somewhat sick or injured for the past two years, but if not, one may - judged by every recent competition - reasonably expect him to be 5-10 seconds behind Cristian (perhaps not in qualifying, but in the finals, yeah)

As expected, Cristian with the fastest time in qualifying and he certainly did not at all look like he was really pushing it.

It's good to know that. I'm still traumatized by Beijing 2022, when the Chinese came out of nowhere to dominate the event.
