Complete 2nd Round Picks

first selected :FIN (3 of them) :DEN :ITA @phelps and :NOR

Still no picked :SUI or :GER player, and they still persuade us about SUI hockey bright future lol... nobody drafted last year, this year still none after 2 rounds... once this current generation around Niederreiter, Meier, Hischier and co. will go, SUI fans will quickly return to earth

yeah, goalie Damian Clara is the first ever true Italian at 100% (born, raised and educated to hockey in our Country) to be drafted.

however, as far as I know, next season he's going to stay in Sweden (where he already played this year).

he should be one of Brynas goalies in the Allsvenskan (Swedish 2nd tier league).

    • sailing and shooting have lost significant quotas the last two cycles, so yea. But I am not sure how swapping an event makes the quotas go down?
    • This is just sailing deja vu. IOC will do anything to cut down the athletes quota on the less popular sports. Sailing & shooting have a long history but they're just not trendy enough these days to survive the purge in some capacity. Yeah, it sucks...
    • back to the field of play, earlier Today the  men's BBL came to a conclusion of an amazing season (record breaking attendance at the stadiums and in front of the TV screens) with a very exciting match between the Hobart Hurricanes and the Sydney Thunder   the guys from Tasmania finally won it in style thanks to a smashing batting performance: after the Thunder posted a big 182/7 off 20 overs, they answered with a mighty 185/3 off 14.1 overs and won by 7 wickets   hero of the day was Mitch Owen, who scored (tied) the fastest century in the BBL history (100 off 39 balls, ended the day with 108 off 42 balls) for the Hobart Hurricanes   BBL #14 - The Final, Match Highlights
    • I really hope we somehow can find the way to develop this game and not just relying on imprt players for the rest of our days   we have a really large number of young people with heritage from true Cricket Nations like India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh that already play for fun in the public parks and recreation areas in many of our cities   hopefully we should try and get them into the organized game, but first we need to promote the game all around the Country and build some decent infrastructure in order to grow up a serious "system"   I know it's gonna be avery, very long process, but at least we should have room for that in this sport, it's not hopeless like ice hockey
