Yep, and also became the youngest Slovak ever to have a brawl in the NHL as well Big boo for Clifton here, that hidden slashing between the legs with his stick from behind was quite disgusting Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight's 3rd Star Juraj Slafkovsky DID IT ALL pic.twitter.com/BbnouMyz5v— JeSuisCH🏒BleuBlancRouge (@HabsHappy) December 10, 2023 Juraj Slafkovsky’s shootout winner. Josh 7,730 Posted December 25, 2023 #56 Share Posted December 25, 2023 (edited) So, NHL is taking a break for the next couple of days, with the next games being played on Wednesday. Surprise, surprise, my Vancouver Canucks are 1st in the league! Sure, we’ve played a few more games than some of the other top teams (Rangers, Kings, Bruins, Stars), but heading into this season a 23-9-3 record halfway throughout the season sounded almost unthinkable. Rick Tocchet Edited December 25, 2023 by Josh Tocchet* Can’t spell today apparently. Topicmaster1010 and hckošice
Josh 7,730 Posted January 14 #57 Share Posted January 14 (edited) My Vancouver Canucks improve to 29-11-3 (61 pts) after a 1-0 win over the Buffalo Sabres, and are back to first in the league! 5th win in a row for the Canucks, and a 5-1-0 record on a seven game road trip! Thatcher Demko records a 25 save shut-out, for his 4th of the season (22-8-1 record on .919 SV% in 23/24). Sam Lafferty with his 10th goal of the season (at 2Q’ 17:55) for the game winner. Some more cool stats for everyone, Canucks are now 26-0-0 (!! yes you heard me right) when leading after two periods, and 9-1-1 when Lafferty scores a goal. hckošice 13,628 Posted January 18 #58 Share Posted January 18 (edited) Half of Slovakia was up this night as our first 2 picks of the 2022 draft met for the very first time in NHL and its 1:0 Slaf. Slaf opened the score while Nemec was sitting in the front seat right next to him Nemec despite a -3 ended the game at least with an assist too, a couple of nice stolen pucks (one really nice against Slaf) and another huge portion of 22 minutes of Ice Time ! Both 19 years old kids playing in their first lines. A special night for Slovaks. Was great to be up this night. Thanks boys, we proud of you Slaf Goal Nemec assist on the tying goal Edited January 18 by hckošice phelps, Topicmaster1010 and Josh
Josh 7,730 Posted February 1 #59 Share Posted February 1 Mixed feelings on this trade. On one hand, I love Kuzy and don’t want to see him go, but if Tocchet isn’t going to give him any minutes at least he’ll get some on the Flames. Also, we’re trading a whole bunch of our young players/picks, so it’s looking like we’re going all in for a NHL ring. On the other hand, $5.5 million will be cleared in cap space from that trade, which hopefully means that we can resign some other players. Lindholm is Lindholm though (was one of the top trade prospects in the NHL), so no complaints here. Excited to see how he fits into the system. Hopefully this trade doesn’t come back to bite us in the future.
