I actually think this one of the best qualification systems. The ICF has maximized the hell out of their quotas. Yes, it’s a bit convoluted and confusing, but ultimately it provides a fair amount of opportunity with a very limited pool of quotas.

I kind of agree with you. On a qualification guide I wrote I said something on the lines "this is one of the easiest formats once the World Championships is over". It's kind of impossible to follow during it.

Edited later: Perhaps they could simply do the schedule according to the guide. The K4 races opening, then the C2/K2 and finishing with the C1/K1. This way i guess would all be clear regarding the allocation.

Thank you so much for your table!!!

I'm checking my own and have a couple of questions.

Regarding the K2 boats that have athletes also in K4 I don't think they are elegible, you can't qualify half a boat.

So in the K2 male would qualify: :POR:AUS:CZE:GER:SRB:LAT
and on the K1 male would qualify: :POR:HUN:CZE:BEL:ESP:SWE+:FRA

I don't understand why Argentina has a quota on this table - there are 6 quotas for the K1 plus the French quota, right?

I guess it has to do with the 40 + 11 + 8 but i'm not sure what does that mean.

thank you so much :)

yes you can win ''half of the boat'' quotas :) Vektor have added symbols D to the countries that are doubling up quatas, therefore relocations available like in Argentina's case

ahhhhhhhh I think I understand it now thanks!!!!

It doesn't make too much sense to me, but I can see the logic now. This way would not hurt athletes that team up with someone from the K4 I guess.

So Spain, Hungary and Lithuania go to 5 athletes (K4+1 from K2).

But I'm wondering how this will play on the Continental Qualification tournament. Will those countries be allowed to participate solely on the K1 to earn a sixth quota then?

Correct, they will only be allowed to compete in the K1

    • Record crowds for this weekend, according to the British Comms so well done  les bouffe-grenouilles!   Jeanmonnot has ice water in her veins, not giving anything away.   Minkinnen up to second!   That' s the win for , second for & a four-way fight for third!   Wierer takes it!   Top  only 12th, dear oh dear.

    • apparently the Japanese organizers rejected OCA's nice request    now OCA is ordering them to do so in a not-so-nice language https://oca.asia/media/attachments/memberships_subcommittee/5/Decision_-_103rd_OCA_EB_Meeting_5ypY8y4.pdf   the last line is very interesting   I knew this for a while, for example that's why Jujjtsu is included in all of OCA events (despite being the worst sport to watch) but good to see OCA admit this. so with the corrupt OCA you can buy your way in. how much they paid the OCA officials for this ?   OK I know Qatar is financially supporting Padel (and UAE is paying everything for Jujitsu) but who is behind Teqball?  ! I don't think Thailand can do that.
    • Important information on team Aerials.   There is no AIN`s team at the start list of the world cup despite of the fact that belorussians have enough athletes to have a team.   https://medias4.fis-ski.com/pdf/2026/FS/8119/2026FS8119SLF1.pdf
    • By the way. It looks like no AIN`s will be in biathlon by the start of the Olympics. Russians filed an appeal to CAS to get AIN statuses in biathlon. But IBU did not agree to have hearings with short procedure. So the decisons are not expected before the end of qulifying period. (FIS could do the same but its top-officials prefer to help russians be back as quick as possible).   I would like to see Dolidovich at the Games. Because she is a real refugee of the relatively high level.
