4. The 4 best results count for every team out of the 5 events. But Poland will get easier draws than us at the WC events because they have a higher world ranking, so I doubt that we can catch them. I think our team is simply not strong enough to consistently get into the Top8 at the WC events.

Poland and Hungary are 9th and 10th in the World Ranking. Since in WC events there is a draw of pairs except for top 4, there's no difference between being 9th or 10th. You both have a 50% chance to get Korea or Germany in r16.

We lost to Hong Kong

@phelps How currently looks situation of Polish teams and individual fencers in ranking? How many quotas we would have for now? Can you count or we have to wait for official ranking after end of Championships?

I'd say the only team with chances is the women's epee...

for what concerns the individual ranking, we'd better wait the end of the championship and then make the proper calculation...

p.s. HKG nowadays is a very good team (they were 3rd in the last world cup event in Russia, beating Italy in the quarterfinals)...Choi and Cheung are never to be underestimated also in the individual events...

Well she did take off her mask, when they warned her not to do it. And that's 6 seconds before the end.

it wasn't given for that...the red card came because the assistent ref behind the piste literally invented that Di Francisca covered her target with the arm not handling the foil (which is not allowed, of course)...

there have been at least 4 or 5 dubious calls (actually, at least 2 completely wrong) in favor of Russia in the middle of the bout, but that one was clearly a burglary, I just don't believe that it was done in good faith...nobody will never make me think the opposite...

The 1st yellow was completly underserved... The second one was correct

no, not at all...she asked for permission to change her foil (which was clearly ruined)...

and as I wrote before, the red card came for another reason...not because of the mask or any other disciplinary infringment...
