What a terrible day, all 3 Iranians had good start but ended up losing. and all 3 of them conceding big points on turning kicks.

but for Mardani it was very costly. he lost the Olympic quota  now Grand Slam is his last chance and I'm not optimistic at all

these guys won the quota today, add that to the list from yesterday

Men's 80kg: :ESP

Men's +80kg: :NIG:SLO

yeeessssss!!!! :ITA Vito Dell'Aquila won for the first time in his career against :KOR Jang Jun (despite a clear attempt of robbery by the ref -penalizing Dell'Aquila for going out of the mat when it was a clear push by the Korean- and the judges -gifting the Korean of at least 5 punches that shouldn't have been awarded) and got his first Gold in the Grand Prix series...:cheer:

now he can be considered a true medal contender for next year's Olympics...

    • The story of  boxer Dmitrijs Avsijenkovs and his incredible 100%, 29 fight knockout record.    Unfortunately.....   Boxer who was knocked out 29 times in 29 fights finally gave up on his disastrous career
    • apparently our NOC rejected the winter sport federation request to send a bigger delegation.   they published a list of just 14 athletes. 8 in CC skiing, 2 in Alpine and 4 in SkiMo. equal number of male and female athletes in each sport.
    • Yeah, I'm not entirely opposed of different host cities, but 24 hours of sports is not a good idea. Keep it to the 16-18 hour days.
