Well now :POL technically leads with a 7-1 record but :BRA:CHN and :USA are all 6-1.

Week 2 wraps up tomorrow with :POL off and :CHN playing an :ITA team that has not yet lost in Hong Kong.

The big match will be :BRA vs :USA to see who will stay atop the table.

Well, I'm not surprised, we always lose to the USA anyway (from what I saw we won one of the last 10 games against them).

The team has potential, but perhaps the lack of a player like Ana Cristina or Gabi has shown some very clear deficiencies that were not shown in Japan. The team has a lot to improve if they want to win this VNL which is the main competition of the season (For the Olympics Qualifs we will qualify anyway, so whatever ).

  • 2 weeks later...

Week 3 has :CAN up against :CRO in their first match. We should win this, but Croatia is in great form having defeated Thailand 3-0 in their previous match so wouldn't be surprised to see them pull off an upset. After that we have an extremely tough schedule facing off against :BRA:ITA and :NED, with our only chance at a win being against the Dutch.

    • Regarding the swimming they have added the 800m for men and the 1500m for women so cutting numbers would be odd.
    • That quota I’ve been told by an athlete aiming to qualify who I know online.
    • Has the quota for Canada been offically confirmed anyway, or is that just a rumour? I can't find anything on google about it (nor the suggested quota for England's athletes someone posted earlier).   12 per gender would make sense (it's roughly what Canada sent to Birmingham). 12 overall seems dumb.
