Would be great if GB Snowsport could do a better job of promoting the team. The squad announcements were only on Instagram and I don't think they've posted any results from last week's events from the Park and Pipe events. My life's much easier if the federations put a bit of weight behind putting the results out there.

None of the Brits have made it past their respective qualification rounds so far unfortunately, with just the rail events to come on Friday.

Sadly in the Men’s Junior World Curling Championship, :SCO didn’t make it through their semi final, losing a straightforward draw in the final end when they had the hammer and so could only play for Bronze.

The scoreline in the semi final:

:SCO 6 - :ITA 8

They played Canada for the Bronze and won:

:SCO - :CAN 8

Freddy Carrick Smith has taken silver in the men's slalom at the Junior World Championships

Great result for Freddy but so disappointing for his brother. Luca led the first heat and was 2 seconds(!) clear half way through his second run before his DNF.

Should've been a double podium for the Carrick Smiths.

BRONZE! for Niall Treacy at the short track World championships in the 1000m

First World short track medal for GB since Elise Christie won triple Gold in 2017. Treacy also finished 5th in the 1500 yesterday.

    • Not in modern times (believe it has happened back in the 19th century). The Social Democrats were rather close in the mid-30s, but generally it's been the Social Democrats as the largest getting challenged by either Venstre (the old, liberal party) or the Conservatives (though their latest peak was in the 80s). Keep in mind that most Danish governments have been minority governments. The latest government (well, it's still the government until the new one is formed) was the first one since the early 90s and only the 5th since the Second World War.
