amiry2j 7 Posted July 21, 2016 #72 Share Posted July 21, 2016 (edited) so sorry for bahador , what a bad luck he had! i hope his brother which involved in accident would be safe i don't know if national team case affect on this accident maybe i'm wrong but i don't understand meaning of this choice? why hashemi instead of molaei. as far as i know even we cut BLR and RUS weightlifters, molaei had a better chance to be medalist compare to hashemi, specially this hashemi which had a quite good potential to fail in snatch and eliminating before clean and jerk Edited July 21, 2016 by amiry2j
MHSN 3,221 Posted July 22, 2016 Author #73 Share Posted July 22, 2016 (edited) An Iranian website made an interesting research about where all these 63 athletes came from, here is the outcome there are 62 names in this list because Leila Rajabi is originally from Belarus and didn't raise in Iran, but if she had to be counted, she is competing from the province of "Bushehr" this is very interesting that Mazandaran has more numbers than the capital Tehran !! there are 19 provinces in this list, surprisingly nobody from Kurdistan, Ardabil or Gilan ! Mazandaran (12) Table Tennis 2 - Nima Alamian, Noshad Alamian Taekwondo 1 - Farzan Ashourzadeh Volleyball 2 - Adel Gholami, Mojtaba Mirzajanpour Weightlifting 2 - Mohammad Reza Barari, Behdad Salimi Wrestling 5 - Hassan Yazdani, Reza Yazdani, Komeil Ghasemi, Ghasem Rezaei, Bashir Babajanzadeh Tehran (11) Athletics 1 - Ehsan Haddadi Boxing 1 - Ehsan Rouzbahani Fencing 2 - Ali Pakdaman, Mojtaba Abedini Judo 1 - Saeid Mollaei Shooting 1 - Elaheh Ahmadi Taekwondo 1 - Mehdi Khodabakhshi Volleyball 2 - Hamzeh Zarini, Mehdi Mahdavi Wrestling 2 - Hassan Rahimi, Hamid Sourian Isfahan (5) Athletics 1 - Reza Ghasemi Shooting 1 - Golnoush Sebghatollahi Taekwondo 1 - Sajjad Mardani Volleyball 1 - Amir Ghafour Wrestling 1 - Sohrab Moradi Alborz (4) Judo 1 - Alireza Khojasteh Taekwondo 1 - Kimia Alizadeh Volleyball 1 - Shahram Mahmoudi Wrestling 1 - Alireza Karimi Khuzestan (4) Volleyball 2 - Saeid Abdevali, Habibollah Akhlaghi Wrestling 2 - Mohammad Mousavi, Mostafa Sharifat Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari (3) Athletics 3 - Mahmoud Samimi, Mohammad Arzandeh, Mohammad Jafar Moradi East Azarbaijan (3) Athletics 1 - Kaveh Mousavi Cycling 2 - Ghader Mizbani, Samad Pourseyedi Razavi Khorasan (3) Athletics 1 - Hassan Taftian Judo 1 - Javad Mahjoub Swimming 1 - Aria Nasimi-Shad Golestan (2) Athletics 1 - Pejman Ghalehnoei Volleyball 1 - Farhad Ghaemi Hamedan (2) Athletics 1 - Hamid Reza Zouravand Shooting 1 - Mahlagha Jambozorg Ilam (2) Shooting 1 - Pouria Norouzian Weightlifting 1 - Ali Hashemi Kermanshah (2) Table Tennis 1 - Neda Shahsavari Weightlifting 1 - Kianoush Rostami West Azarbaijan (2) Volleyball 2 - Saeid Marouf, Milad Ebadipour Zanjan (2) Rowing 1 - Mahsa Javar Wrestling 1 - Meisam Nassiri Fars (1) Wrestling 1 - Omid Norouzi Kerman (1) Archery 1 - Zahra Nemati Lorestan (1) Cycling 1 - Arvin Moazzami-Goudarzi North Khorasan (1) Shooting 1 - Najmeh Khedmati Qazvin (1) Volleyball 1 - Mehdi Marandi Edited July 22, 2016 by MHSN

Yes. I was sad after Asian qualification. He was great on one world cup if I remember well.
MHSN 3,221 Posted August 1, 2016 Author #78 Share Posted August 1, 2016 Alireza Khojasteh withdrew from the Olympics because of "family reasons" !!! PS: this is nonsense, they made him withdraw because there is an Israeli athlete in his weight. the same happened for Javad Mahjoub 4 years ago. Khojasteh is just 19 and he had no chance but still this is stupid to deny him his right for such reason.

Plus at least two of our wrestlers Reza Yazdani and Omid Nourouzi got robbed. I am much more disappointed with Taekwondo.
