Five years ago this seemed as unlikely as Williams winning the team world title this year or Mercedes not getting a single point anymore in 2019. Just...wow, no way I ever thought this would be possible throughout the years I've visited Zandvoort from a young age:hyper:

What? I used to follow F1 a lot (until 2010). :p

 

But anyway, I grew to love Zandvoort while watching some TV series about 70s seaons of F1. :d

I though you never had any sort of interest in F1 :d 

 

One can discuss whether it's a good track in terms of racing, but I definitely love the entire 'atmosphere' around the track. The dunes, the pictures so close to the sea (you leave the parking lot and are on the beach @hckosice ), it's just beautiful.  I just hope the dunes won't be thrown down and replaced with grandstands, the dunes are part of what makes Zandvoort unique :p

Nope, most likely this is going to replace Barcelona, where visitor numbers have dropped significantly without Alonso (or Alonso in a good car). Nowadays the Barcelona grandstands seem to be half filled with Dutch fans anyway :lol:

Well that sucks. Couldn't they have swapped Baku or Bahrain instead...

      Sorry but this is the stupidest idea I’ve ever heard… putting in 3x3 hockey (which doesn’t even have its own World Championships or anything like that) over telemark skiing, ice cross, and freeride skiing…    This is coming from a big fan of hockey. Curious as to what @hckošice @phelps @Epic Failure @copravolley@Topicmaster1010 think though?

      I hope there is some diversity in teams across both disciplines.   I wonder how they will get the 240 quotas. Losing Nordic Combined + Ski mountaineering is only 72 quotas.

      Some details on the IIHF's 3 on 3 hockey proposal: 8 team tournament for men's and women's 15 athletes per team, 240 athletes total (if they include this they better increate the 2900 athlete cap...) IOC expected to make a decision about including it in the Olympics in March
