Oh come on, everyone on that team is at the very least a good player. Nobody in that team is an objectively bad football player, let's be realistic.

To be fair, if it was just this rain - strong as it was - the match would probably not have been suspended  

 

The lightning was the issue, if that had gone wrong on the field, it was entirely on the referee, because he should have stopped it way earlier given the explosions that were going around already.

They just stopped until the danger had passed, not until the rain is gone. Getting back on the field already, entirely as expected.
