Canada will send five recurve archers (four men and one women) to the next World Cup in Paris. Canada's current #1 ranked Brian Maxwell and Crispin Duenas will not be a part of the team.

Peter is ranked second in Canada, Maxwell 3rd and Azores 8th, with three athletes ahead of him, each with at least two scores higher. Makes no sense. Duenas is again not on the team. He has competed this season, recently as last month, so I don't think he is retired.

The women have the top 3 in Canada here (Barrett, Brug and Chenier) Chan's best score is a 600, and she is ranked fifth. Fourth place Tania Edwards was not named to the team.

R32 losses for Duenas and formerly Georgian Esebua are some pretty good results as well

Duenas won a World Championship medal in 2013 and it led to nothing. I'm really really hoping we are able to qualify a men's team, I think its unlikely but there's unpredictability in this sport.

Andrew Fagan advanced to the R16 in men's compound before getting demolished by Schloesser (149-142). Still a great result for him.
