Trying to update @esube work myself but it takes sooo much time.

And I can't edit this pdf file, so I have just printed it and i am using a pencil to write down some additional info we have from ticketing website and olympics.com website (link above)

But i just thought - that if we split, 8 users - each of them takes care of 2 days or sth, we could do it quickly and smoothy, and regularly update it later on

The thing is I really like this layout, it's easy to navigate, you just look at it and you know what is going on at certain time. I was using such a thing a lot at Tokyo 2020 but i had it completed only for first few days (and the rest was on paper with some sports only, just the most important sports for me in it).

So what you think, can we start a team work here? I can do Day 1 and 2 (Sat, Jul 27 and Sun, Jul 28) for a good start. Just give me few days.

I'm in. Let's share a google doc

I have tried to make a excel document with a suitable format. I have send @rafalgorka this document some time ago, but I can also share it here. From day 3 and forward is the format I think works best.

2024_olympics_schedule (2).xlsx

I also have an example how it would look as a PDF-document with some adjustment in the print-out options.

 2024_olympics_schedule (3).pdf

Both of these files/documents are only drafts and they still need adjustments.

  • 5 months later...
  • 3 weeks later...

And one last spam from me this CET morning.

I would really like to come back to this project.

This kind of schedule layout is extremely useful for me during olympic time.

But 16 days is too much for me.

Maybe if we could find 8 users here (2 days for one user) we could make a great updated version of it.

We can update it once a month or sth.

We can even make versions for particular NOCs.

E.g. POL version with Polish athletes starts highlighted.

???

I can do days 1-2.

He had the highest single run score out of the two as well, so he should’ve been the winner but instead he finishes 4th. • I’ll start first;   Obviously,  @brunamoura in cross country skiing if she qualifies  (no pressure)    Curling:  Team Hasselborg and Team Edin,  Kaldvee/Lill, and to a lesser extent  Team Fujisawa and  Team Schwaller Ice Hockey:  Sweden men’s team,  Arturs Silovs/Teddy Blueger, whichever Canucks are on  United States’ men’s team, and  Finland’s men’s team if Lankinen can keep up his good play (Even though he’s probably going to get traded from the Canucks after this season, he prefers being on a team where he can get more starts than more money. Still I have a soft spot for him) Alpine Skiing:  Marco Odermatt,  Aleksandr Aamodt Kilde Freestyle Skiing:  Jakara Anthony,  Birk Ruud,  Sina Sigenthaler,  Andri Ragettli Snowboarding:  Leon Ulbricht,  Marcus Kleveland,  Anna Gasser Speed Skating:  Jutta Leerdam,  Jordan Stolz Luge:  Thomas Steu/Wolfgang Kindl,  Tobias Wendl/Tobias Arlt   From a Canadian perspective, I’m rooting for our men’s hockey team above all. Then, our curling teams, especially Team Homan if she wins Olympic Trials. Then Max Parrot, Mikael Kingsbury, Eliot Grondin, William Dandjinou, our women’s hockey team, and our ski cross squad. But really I’ll be rooting for all of our athletes.
