so, only Sorgente (it looks that any chance to see him starting for Italy in the next years have evaporated ) and Barros are there among the top Vans Pro riders (and in fact they had to take 26 and not only 22 riders from the qualifying heats, because many -actually, 4- seeded guys finally didn't confirm their participation)...

well, high level surfing is a lot more developed worldwide than skateboarding...

actually, ISA World Surfing Games medallists of the last couple of years come from all 5 continents...and also the top WSL surfers come from all continents (even if most of them are from USA, Brazil and Australia -in this case especially in the women's division)...

probably he had to pull out after last week's Vans Pro Tour finals, where he had an awful semifinal heat (no idea, but maybe he had a slight injury...who knows? )...
