:SUR finished fifth in the men's 3x3 tournament in basketball., by beating :TTO

:TTO finished fourth at the Americup last year, and qualified for Santiago 2023. Unfortunately :SUR will not be going unless someone declines.

:GUA legitimately has some of the best depth in badminton in the region at the moment. I’m very curious to see what they can do at the Pan American Games.

:BAR into the semifinals of both genders in field hockey. It’d be awesome to see them book a ticket to the Pan American Games.

Elliot :BAR also bagged the silver medal in women’s skeet. Their best athletes have really delivered this edition.

:CRC has to be setting some kind of record for most bronze medals without a gold medal. I’ll be cheering for them extra hard over the next few days.

Cuba trashed Barbados in women's field hockey

Which means, if :TTO wins, :PER gets the last quota for Santiago. :TTO has already advanced. :MEX needs to win to advance.

Let’s pray for that win.

    • Regarding the swimming they have added the 800m for men and the 1500m for women so cutting numbers would be odd.
    • That quota I’ve been told by an athlete aiming to qualify who I know online.
    • Has the quota for Canada been offically confirmed anyway, or is that just a rumour? I can't find anything on google about it (nor the suggested quota for England's athletes someone posted earlier).   12 per gender would make sense (it's roughly what Canada sent to Birmingham). 12 overall seems dumb.
    • Some sports have qualification systems   3x3 basketball (wheelchair) Para-cycling Powerlifting Weightlifting
    • In the past few games, Canada (and other nations) was given an overall athlete quota which they then divided it through the various sports.
    • Whose decision was this, Team Canada's or the Organising committes?
