Jordan Tucker withdraws from the 2023 Para Swimming World Championships, suffering a broken left radial head in her elbow (No clue what that's supposed to mean lol) due to a fall late last month.

Laon Kim with a 50.39 in the 100 free! 

 

He is now 15, so is still a full second and a bit behind Liendo's age group record, but this is a huge PB (previously it was 51.05)

Ashley McMillan swam a 2:11.44 200 IM at the Canadian Championships today. Good enough to get the Olympic Qualification time and the 4th Canadian to achieve an OQT in that event. The 200 IM looks like the deepest event in Canada at the moment

1:49.62 for Laon Kim today in the 200 free today.

 

The 4th place finisher at Canadian trials had a time of 1:49.42. Looks like there's a very good chance of him making the relay team for the Olympics next year (assuming the relay is able to qualify)

Para Swimming Championships just ended. Canada finished 7th on the medal table with 9 golds, 4 silvers, and 6 bronzes. Overall, a great showing.

World Juniors are underway:

 

 Canada gets its first two medals  (silver and bronze) in the women's 400 IM courtesy of Ella Jansen (4:37.35) and Julie Brousseau (4:38.45)

 

Both times are good enough to get under the OQT for Paris

The mens 4x100relay captured the bronze, 16 year old Antoine Sauve split a 48.73...this bodes well.

Two National Age group records for Lorne Wigginton so far. Came 4th in the 400m Free in 3:49.05. Then won bronze in the 200 IM today in 1:59.44. Now the 3rd fastest Canadian of all time in both events. Can't wait to see what he does in the 400 IM.
