Now, strictly speaking we need a new thread for this, but 2022 starts here!

 

Hamburg hosts the first races of the 2022 season.  Two Sprints on Saturday, Mixed Relay on Sunday.

Final Triathlon WS meet of the year is tomorrow (points counting to 2022, remember) from Abu Dhabi.  Sprint races for both men & women, with pretty much all big names except Kristin Blummenfelt.  There’s also the Para-Triathlon World Championships running as well.

Just a bump for this - resumes again this weekend with Olympic distance men’s & women’s & para races in Yokohama. .  Early hours of Saturday morning Euro time.

Double win for  - Georgia Taylor Brown in the women’s, Alex Yee in the men’s.

Big event this weekend is the latest round of the Triathlon World Series live from the spiritual home of world triathlon, Roundhay Park,  Leeds.  There's two sprint races on Saturday, and  a mixed relay on Sunday.

Spectacular mess-up from Vincent Luis  - blows either the win or second place!.  Mis-counted the cycle laps, attacked on the blue carpet, crashed into a barrier, lost a heap of time & must do a 15sec penalty.

At Hamburg again for sprints & a relay. The good news for the rest of the World is that the top  are resting up for the Commonwealths

Women's race Friday 15:15 AD time.   Georgia Taylor-Brown &  Flora Duffy are the main contenders
