And it's over. Eagles won 40-22 and blew up the Chiefs three-peat bid in spectacular fashion. Outside of Kansas & Missouri it's a very acceptable result
that was just OK, some good results mixed with some disappointing results.
our top wrestlers (2024 Olympic/World medalists) were exempt here but still it was an important part of our trials for the 2025 World Championships and this tournament made it clear that we are weak in certain weights.
our trial system is so complicated, something like rocket science , very hard to understand
Okay maybe it's not as many as I thought but improvements in the mid teens at a single meet aren't that uncommon in the top pole vaulters. Sam Kendricks did improve by 0.21 in a single meet from 5.60 to 5.81 which is similar to this Chinese guy
I only looked through the top 10 all time.
one more thing-in the men's pole vault standings there is a chinese guy named Chenyang Li with a result of 5.85 which is the new national record.the crazy thing about this is that before his competition on the 1st of feburary where he achieved his record..his previous pb was 5.64.....he achieved that result on the 18 january of this year ....gonna keep my eye out for him.
