Why would a commentator call her 'Katarina' during a competition? I find it odd when commentators do that, like in the Netherlands where the F1-commentator is always talking about 'Max' instead of 'Verstappen'. Luckily our gymnastics commentator is an incredibly articulate man, who always says either Epke Zonderland or Zonderland, but not Epke  

 

A few of our sports stars are well-known by simply their first name, mostly Max, Epke, Ireen (Wüst), Sven (Kramer) and a bit less Tom (Dumoulin). Definitely Bauke (Mollema) and Churandy

Nothing personal, but I hope we won't see Mezulianikova too often in the top results....unless she marries someone with an easier name.

Definitely, even 300 points is not impossible if Thiam has a really good throw.

Except that Thiam is underperforming in each event so far.

Thiam is still far and away the gold medal favourite, with KJT relatively clear for silver. Dadic now seems to be in prime position for bronze after her fantastic long jump (she has improved on her forecast on all 5 events, that is impressive), with Vetter as most serious threat. Schäfer has more or less had to let go after her mediocre long jump.
