#7 for :SVK Martin Marinčin the Toronto Maple Leafs defencer will join our team at the home World Champs, the Košice born player will be the 3rd NHL defencer to play in his birth place after Jaroš and Černák. :)

NHLers in team :SVK so far:

Defencers: Andrej Sekera (Edmonton Oilers), Erik Černák (Tampa Bay Lightning), Christián Jaroš (Ottawa Senators), Martin Marinčin (Toronto Maple Leafs)

Forwards: Tomáš Tatár (Montreal Canadiens), Richard Pánik (Arizona Coyotes), Marko Daňo (Winnipeg Jets + AHL Manitoba Moose)

+ one forward from AHL Marián Studenič (Binghampton Devils)

Since Boston won against Toronto and advanced to the 2nd round, our dream about Jaroslav Halák is pretty probably gone...but there still a chance to have a goalie from NA competition, the AHL Grand Rapids Griffins with our goaltender Patrik Rybár is right now 2-2 in the (best of 5 matches) series against Chicago Wolves, the decisive 5th game is schedulled for Sunday.

Another interesting AHL series from our point of view is the Charlotte vs Providence series, Tomáš Jurčo (Charlotte) is leading 2-1 against Peter Cehlárik (Providence), but very likely even if Providence lose the next match, Cehlárik will be likely called by Boston Bruins for the NHL Stanley Cup Play-Offs..and same if Charlotte suddenly fail somehow in the next 2 games, Jurčo (another Košice born player) will have certainly to go up back to Raleigh to help Carolina in the NHL..

#14 and 15 for :RUS confirmed ...

Nikita Gusev the Vegas Golden Knights forward and the defencer Nikita Zaitsev of Toronto Maple Leafs accepted the invitation and will join the Russian team for the World Championships...

NHLers confirmed for :RUS so far:

Goalies: Alexander Georgiev (New York Rangers), Andrey Vasilevsky (Tampa Bay Lightning)

Defence: Mikhail Sergachev (Tampa Bay Lightning), Ilya Lyubushkin (Arizona Coyotes), Egor Yakovlev (New Jersey Devils), Ivan Provorov (Philadelphia Flyers), Bogdan Kiselevich (Winnipeg Jets), Nikita Zaitsev (Toronto Maple Leafs)

Forwards: Ilya Kovalchuk (Los Angeles Kings), Evgeni Malkin (Pittsburgh Penguins), Artem Anisimov (Chicago Blackhawks), Nikita Kucherov (Tampa Bay Lightning), Vladislav Namestnikov (New York Rangers), Evgeny Dadonov (Florida Panthers), Nikita Gusev (Vegas Golden Knights)

and the whole Russia is currently still praying for the triumph of Carolina against Washington tonight (Ovechkin, Kuznetsov and Orlov all apparently announced their desire to play at the worlds if Washington will not qualify for the 2nd round) :d

and it´s confirmed, all 3 will join the team for the World Champs. so #16, 17 and 18 for :RUS  the Washington Capitals armada defencer Dmitri Orlov, and forwards Evgeny Kuznetsov and the "ice hockey tsar" Alexander Ovechkin.

#15 for :SWE

Elias Lindholm the Calgary Flames forward wil join the "tre kronor" at the World Champs as well. The 3rd most productive player of my fav NHL team this season with 21 goals and 57 assists (78 points).

The confirmed NHLers in :SWE team so far :

Goaltenders Henrik Lundqvist (NY Rangers) and Jacob Markström (Vancouver), Defencers Oliver Ekman-Larsson (Arizona), Adam Larsson (Edmonton), Robert Hägg (Philadelphia), Erik Gustafsson (Chicago) and Forwards Elias Pettersson, Loui Eriksson (both Vancouver), Marcus Krüger (Chicago), Adrian Kempe (Los Angeles), Mario Kempe (Arizona), Jesper Bratt (New Jersey), Oskar Lindblom (Philadelphia), Patric Hörnqvist (Pittsburgh) and Elias Lindholm (Calgary)

The coaching staff also announced that they send the invitation to another 2 NHLers Mattias Ekholm and Calle Järnkrok from Nashville Predators, their answer will be known during the weekend.

Unfortunately :SWE will certainly not have the 2 other Nashville Predators in their team, since Filip Forsberg and Viktor Arvidsson both refused the invitation.
