ExpandOkay folks. I have Zero clue how and who is gaining quotas here, so please can anyone inform me about the quotas (athlets) qualified today, in order to update the qualification thread,
I see wikipedia updated both todays events, is everything there correct wiki ?.
Thanks
I don`t think that this "interpretation" of the olympic qualification is correct. The author gives 35 quotas for the singles competition alone. If he or she does the same for the 10 m competition, there are already 70 quotas without the synchros, i.e. in cases when one or both synchro participants did not qualify for the singles competition. And there is a maximum of 68 quotas...
Expandyes, germany can have 3 or 4 different athletes on the 10m
but only if some other country returns the quota for the synchro competition currently they are the first successor.
I was more thinking about the German 3 m women who qualified for the synchro, but failed to get a second quota for the single
One question from my side: Are qualified athletes from the synchro competitions automatically eligible for single competitions?
E.g. if a team is qualified for synchro but both athletes failed to qualify for the singles, are they allowed to participate in the Olympics singles?
ExpandMen's trampoline - max 9, men's platform - max 7 or 9 (maybe Japan give up quota). Women's platform max 9-10 (PRK quota allocated via World Cup?), max 6 women's trampoline (small number of athlethes who can start in both the events). And we have a number 136 athletes. I think synchro duets mostly will be the same like in World Cup), maybe Mexico and China will change something.
Why do you think that Japan will give up quota?
ExpandSynchronized 3 m springboard Women's
Quotas
Quota for Germany was not expected, perhaps the most unlikely quota in the synchronized competitions. Nice start.
ExpandBenjamin Auffret stops his career because of health problems and gives up the Olympic quota he won in the 10m

Who will get the quota? Another French, No. 13 from World Championships 2019 or another quota in the World Cup?

Btw. in Wiki they corrected the "Re-allocation of unused quota" column (to zero).
