If the UK bids it will be Manchester not London if Coe has anything to do with it.
ExpandAs long as it’s not multiple countries worldwide (unless it’s countries bordering each other…), anywhere in India, Saudi Arabia, and probably even Doha I’m fine with pretty much anywhere.
It’s pretty much going to be either a widely spread games or one of those countires. Nowhere else is interested or can afford it.
USA axes funding for WADA. Major crisis now. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2025/jan/08/world-anti-doping-agency-faces-crisis-after-us-government-withholds-funding
If Coe wins it be in Saudi for sure.
ExpandSo, will they appeal to CAS like in Sinner case?
Surely they will unless I am missing something.

Cwnt see WADA not overturning this. One month for a banned substance is very low even for accidental consumption. I’ve only ever heard that short for something banned only in Competition and therefore not seen as fully doping. .
The IOC could fall apart over 2028 and the possibilty of countires being banned (Including maybe China), Who knows how that will go.
Adam Peaty says it’s 50/50 if he will retire but he will 100% not if the 50 Breast is added to LA.
ExpandWADA filed an appeal against Jannik Sinner, requesting a disqualification of one to two years, without cancellation of results.
I’ve never seen an appeal without cancelation of results. I wonder if they have done that because they know CAS won’t want to cause too much of a mess,
Some think a big issue for Coe is Atheltics bringing in prize money which upset many people connected to other sports.

ExpandMassage guy had a wound on his finger. Treated it with a legal spray, which included clostebol. Then massaged Sinner, and that's how it ended up in Sinner's body.
I mean, I guess it's theoretically possible

I wonder if USADA will appeal. The tests happened in California
ExpandJannik Sinner tested positive twice for banned substance clostebol.
Testing agencies didn't publish his doping results to public.
Tribunal ruled that cream used on his cut caused contamination.
He has been cleared of the dopings.
I think it’s standard procedure to not publish now until someone is suspended. As he appealed against a provisional suspension it wasn’t revealed until it was all resolved.

Italy is running a Russian style doping programe for sure.
The IOC will lose LA if they insist on this investigation stopping.

Europe and Egypt are the same time zone’s so I’m not sure they will go for that.
Also on paper Saudi/Qatar/UAE would be less risk than Egypt due to being more experienced at hosting events.
