So I've just spent all morning in the one of the few places in the UK with no phone signal.
What's been going on?
ExpandI’d also like to notify @Hipooo @OlympicIRL that the
jury will be opting in to the rule where, if a song scores points from both jury members, it’s guaranteed points in the final combined voting for the jury.
You beat me by 2 minutes...
Will vote tomorrow
Right, I've printed out my scorecard.
Now to rank all 40 countries I can vote for...

So I have reviewed this case and read the notes included in your entry post. I see that this song has connections to Poland, Ukraine and Slovakia and you have highlighted that fact when presenting the entry.
I am happy to allow some flexibility in this case as with old traditional folk songs, it's often hard to trace the first root of the song and they sometimes have connections to many nations as is this case.
I contacted the other party and they said they are happy for Slovakia to enter the song. In fact there was not an objection to the entry, just a friendly note wondering if the song was eligible since it was a multi-national folk song.
So now that I am happy that the other user is ok for Slovakia to enter the song then I am also fine with allowing flexibility in this case as there is no doubt Slovakia has a genuine connection to the song.
Out of interest, Would there have been a problem if I entered a song by an Northern Irish artist to represent the UK?
I had considered it.
GREAT BRITAIN ENTRY
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland nominates as its entry a song that is nearly 50 years old.
From the English Midlands, the group that ruined the hairdressing industry for decades to come.
SLADE - FAR FAR AWAY
Lyrics
Happy to represent if no one else wants to.
All Olympians of course
I was thinking of suggesting an extra competition sometime where every song had to be performed by an Olympic competitor.
Anybody interested in that?
I think I'm able to give time to this so if anyone else from the UK wants to choose a song, let's choose a winner
