Spain win 2-0 and end up in 1st place in group B...Italy are 2nd, Germany 3rd and England 4th...Netherlands (5th) and Belgium (6th) are out of the quarterfinals... in group A, waiting for the POR vs FRA clash, which is going to determine the group winners and runner-up, Andorra are 3rd and Switzerland 4th, meanwhile Austria are 5th and out of the quarters... we also know the first 2 quarterfinals pairings: ESP vs SUI and ITA vs AND...later tonight the remaining 2 quarters will also be determined by the final score of the POR vs FRA match-up... phelps 6,862 Posted July 22, 2018 #36 Share Posted July 22, 2018 nothing went right for Italy last night, so Portugal once again beat the Azzurri (4-2 the final score yesterday) and will play their 1599467 Gold Medal match at the European Championships... and as expected, they will face Spain, who destroyed France (8-2 the final score) in the other semifinal match... ITA and FRA will play for the Bronze Medal later Today (5 p.m. CET), meanwhile the big game is scheduled for 7.30 p.m. (always today)... earlier in the day also the consolation finals will be played in La Coruna: ENG vs GER for the 7th place and AND vs SUI for the 5th place...meanwhile the ranking from 9th to 11th place will be determined by the last game of a 3-way round robin, NED vs AUT (so far, NED have won against BEL and AUT vs BEL ended with a tie)... With 8 medals on the 12 up for grabs, Italy confirmed its leading role in this discipline. In the Chrono Women, the run for the gold was all between the Italians Claudia Massara and Martina Paciolla. Only third the French Severine Thomas who got the third position also on the overall ranking. Sylvain Behr - France - reached the third step of the podium in the Chrono Men, after Augustin Tussetto - Italy. Gold Medal for the Italian Renato Pennuti. Chrono downhill Women 1- Claudia Massara 2- Martina Paciolla 3- Severine Thomas Chrono downhill Men 1- Renato Pennuti 2- Agustin Tussetto 3- Sylvain Behr In the cross competition Martina Paciolla got the better of both Annalena Rettemberger - Germany, and the other "Azzurra" Claudia Massara.
