Slalom Canoeing ECA European Championships 2021
hckošice replied to George_D's topic in Canoe - Slalom
So we completed the 1st heats of W K1 Jana Dukátová with a decent run, qualified to the semis from 5th place. Mintálová with a disappointing run is not among the top 20 at all, she must qualify from heat 2 otherwise she will lose the quota to Dukátová which was really improbable before the Ech. From the non-qualified NOC only has a semifinalist from 1st qualifiers run. Remember only another 10 will qualify from Heat 2 -

No, but if selectioned by your NOC in K1 she can start also in C1 as double starter. An athlete who obtains an athlete quota place during the Global World Qualification Competition, is ineligible to participate in any Continental Qualification Event to obtain an additional athlete quota place. An athlete that qualifies for the Olympic GamesTokyo 2020 may,if selected to do so by their NOC, participate in more than one (1) event in Canoe Slalom at the Olympic Games as long as no other athlete from their NOC isentered to compete in those events at the Olympic Games. However, the athlete must compete in the event that the NOC qualified in. -

and the current standing of the Internal qualifiers before this weekend last stage. The most tense battle is in M C1 In W K1, only the top 2 Mintálová and Dukátová remains in the game, but Dukátová will need a real miracle here and M K1 is completed, last stage will not be counted anymore -
Wrestling UWW World Olympic Games Qualifier 2021
hckošice replied to Totallympics's topic in Wrestling
Well hopefully it was not just a fluke, but as you know at the European qualifiers he lost already in the 2nd round (even if he arrived with an elbow injury to the tournament) Yes it may be, but one must have some ambitious plans Salkazanov, Gulaev, Makoev and a freshly newly naturalized Russian Batyrbek Tsakulov are the 4 guys we are going to work in the 4 years cycle for Paris. btw here a interview in slovak of the man behind it for our NOC (btw I did not know that but Salkazanov and Gulaev are both orthodox, meanwhile Makoev is muslim so if he succeed to qualify tomorrow, he may be the first muslim competing for Slovakia at the Olympics )https://www.olympic.sk/clanok/reprezentacny-trener-volnostyliarov-erik-cap-clovek-si-musi-nastavit-ciel-ist-si-za-nim and another article in which he explained the transfer of the young Tsakulov https://sport.aktuality.sk/c/494530/zapasenie-slovenski-majstri-myslia-na-tokio-salkazanov-kvalifikacia-bude-pre-mna-najdolezitejsia-sutaz/ the Russian already agreed and confirmed his transfer. -
Wrestling UWW World Olympic Games Qualifier 2021
hckošice replied to Totallympics's topic in Wrestling
I seriously doubt it. First he still has to qualify which is definitely far to be a certainty. Would be huge if he will compete in Tokyo, our combat sport extremely need it. But a medal, this is a too long shot. There plenty of most famous and stronger qualified countries in his category. Anyway our wrestling federation started an ambitious long term project with the goal, not less than two medals and four wrestlers in Paris 2024. -
Sprint Canoeing Qualification to Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games

Beat fairly by others, that´s all. Samuel Baláž won both K1 national qualification races ahead of Myšák, he and Denis Myšák looks in great form. Myšák is the biggest surprise, after his surgery in 2019 he managed to return in superb shape and now made it to the K4 even by removing Csaba Zalka from the crew. -
it was probably Slovenia.

Team Slovakia Mens C1 Alexander Slafkovský Matej Beňuš Michal Martikán *Quota Secured. All 3 fighting for Tokyo (The better placed athlete will earn the Golden ticket, Slafkovský in best position, basically a top 5 for him will be enough pending any of his opponents will not win Gold) K1 Jakub Grigar Martin Halčin Adam Gonšenica *Quota Secured. Also the Athlete is known. Jakub Grigar will compete at his 2nd Olympics after his 5th Place in Rio 2016. Womens C1 Simona Glejteková Zuzana Paňková Monika Škáchová *No Quota yet. Last chance for our girls, Basically a "All-in" situation for them here, first they have to qualify the country to the games, if they succeed, the girl who will manage to earn the quota for slovakia will also take it and go to Tokyo. K1 Eliška Mintálová Jana Dukátová Michaela Haššová *Quota Secured. Only Mintálová and Dukátová are fighting for Tokyo ( Mintálová is in better position, basically, not losing to Dukátová by bigger margin will be enough for her to qualify) -
yes, sure, I was exagerating obviously, we do have a federation and do have athletes, probably some will also attend this tournament, but chance of qualifying to the games for TKD is so low that it makes no sense to deal or think about it. There a couple of Olympic sports we never participate like Modern pentathlon, Equestrian or Volleyball, but there a chance to change it in the future for sure. In the opposite TKD is one of the sports alongside with Diving, Fencing, Handball, Field Hockey or BMX we never qualified anyone and in the next century will certainly not change it as well Hell, we participate even in W Basketball, Trampoline, Sailing or freaking Track Cycling with a 6th place in Team Sprint Anyway, Actually the only sports we do not have a special federation are Surfing and Diving section of Aquatics sport... lol diving and Slovakia

Sprint Canoeing Qualification to Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games

looks like Peter Gelle who won the K1-1000m quota will very likely miss the games, he totaly flopped at the National races this week finishing only 6th and worse... The composition of our K4 for Tokyo will be officialzed after next week Szeged race. The coaches decided to send there the 4 best of this week national races. so the crew is Samuel Baláž - Denis Myšák (Silver in Rio 2016) - Erik Vlček (39 years old legend, Silver in Rio 2016, Silver in Beijing 2008, Bronze in Athens 2004, 10 times K4 world champion may compete at his 6th Olympics which will be absolute Slovak record of all sports) - Adam Botek if they manage to achieve the desired result in Szeged next week and will repeat it at the ECH then they will go to tokyo in this composition. Otherwise depending on the results Csaba Zalka may replace one of them. Gelle however will have another chance at Szeged to defend his K1 quota. Also the K2 crew is finalized Samuel Baláž – Adam Botek The whole team for Szeged OQ, Szeged WC and Barbaul OQ is here https://www.canoe.sk/sk/hladka-voda/clanok/navrh-nominacie-na-zaciatok-sezony-2021 -
not sure if our federation know about this event.. not sure, if we even have a federation though
