  1. Team Slovakia 1 (0+1) WOMEN'S Singles: Martina Repiská ----------------------------------------------------------------- Other Sports Archery, Athletics, Boxing, Canoeing Slalom, Canoeing Sprint, Road Cycling, Golf, Artistic Gymnastics, Shooting, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Wrestling Slovakia will make its 3rd appearance in this sport at the Olympics. Funny enough all 3 participants were women. After Eva Sládeková recorded the country's debut at the Olympics in Beijing 2008 and Monika Fašungová competed four years later in London 2012, Martina Repiská is ready to debut at the Olympics and by this occasion return our flag back to the Badminton competitions at the Olympics after 9 years absence. Slovakia never won a single match (nor a single set) at the Olympics so far. Sládeková lost in the Beijing KO round in her opening round to Wang Chen of Hong-Kong and in London Fašungová lost both matches in her preliminary round, All historic 3 Badminton matches of Slovakia at the Olympics ended 0-2. Martina has her dreams, winning a set would be awesome and already would make history... winning a match would be just ... Fantastic Martina studies and lives in Denmark, Odense where she trains in the local Badminton Center. Martina Repiská Instagram https://www.instagram.com/martinarepiska/

  14. well, this is what I read in Swimming Federation site, Slovak Olympic Committee site and in the TASR (Slovak press agency). so either FINA decided to not care two shits about their qualification rules or something terribly wrong happened in our NOC and federation The email from FINA said that Slovakia is according the universality project for developing, yes, literally the word developing swimming countries invited to participate at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, namely Richard Nagy, Mens, in the 200m Butterfly and 400m Individual Medley and Andrea Podmaníková, Womens, in the 100m Breaststroke and 200m Breaststroke competitions. Obviously this is not exactly the universality quotas, but since SVK did not qualify any swimmer in any gender by direct standard, they somehow fall in the universality system.
